Congrats for the PPR........Have u received your RFV mail from Pretoria VO or Ottawa? I just wish Pretoria VO is doing something on our file.

I just spoke to CIC Ottawa and told them I have hit 6 month mark and that I need to know what is happening with my appln. He took my application number, verified a bunch of other details and put me on the longest hold.... Then he came back and said "Your appln was transferred to Pretoria. But Pretoria hasn't received it yet." :-\ So I asked "When was it transferred?" Then he goes "It was transferred in December".

I also asked him "Can you tell me something else about the stage my appln is at currently? Is security, criminality etc passed? Is it in final stages?" He goes "Ottawa has done everything it can from here. Only Pretoria can help you now. Please contact Pretoria."

But the local VO here at Pretoria doesn't even entertain calls or inquiries! Except for raising a CSE which does absolutely nothing for a month or longer, there is no way to contact them!

Bottomline/TL;DR My file has been transferred to local VO Pretoria in Dec 2015 and Ottawa has done everything from its side already and cannot help on a case which is stagnating at Pretoria for 5 months now! How ridiculous does that sound!?

What would happen if a local VO simply does not take action for months and months and CIC Ottawa is not bothered either? I don't know how to get these lazy idiots here to move on the appln!

I got similar reply from Ottawa. Its really sad that Pretoria VO doesn't even reply CSE on time. My last CSE automated reply said that they will reply in 10 business days which is tomorrow. Lets see.........I believe that our PPR is Stuck because of batches

What is that even supposed to mean?! Pretoria hasn't acknowledged it yet? I have also heard cases like this over at Singapore VO.

What does it say under the section "Paper File" (last few pages of GCMS notes)? Does it acknowledge it's at Pretoria?

Mine was only forwarded to Manila VO in March, so don't tell me I won't hear from them until August. :'(

Hmm, because I have another Paper File History entry after the "received after workload redistribution", which states the Location as EE-E-Apps, so I wonder if this was what Agent Drew referred to.

Manila VO usually issues PPRs 3 months after AOR...I've heard of a Feb AOR already with their visa/COPR in April from MVO, so I am the unfortunate exception there.

I believe RFV e-mail came from Ottawa CPCO/CTDO - DemandeFinale.IRCC@cic.gc.ca

Guess I'm lucky my file was never transferred to Pretoria VO. It took them 7weeks to reply to my last CSE.

nice! did they give you a hard time in toronto (ie, show intent to settle in SK)?

not sure how long was your layover, coz i've heard people planning to land in toronto and spending some nights before going to SK. and they fear they would be subjected to scrutiny.

Dear Friends

I submitted my passports at VFS, Chandigarh on 29th April 2016. Online status at VFS website shows that my "application is being processed at Canada Visa Office, New Delhi"

My CIC shows application as closed and final decision as "this application has been approved"

But I am yet to receive my passport and COPR.

My queries are:

1. Is there still any chance of visa rejection after above mentioned status update?\

2. How long it usually takes to receive pasport and COPR after you MY CIC shows 'application approved status"?
