Nope I am not a US resident. I think it has something to do with workload redistribution. Your application can be processed anywhere but usually, issuing of the visa is assigned to your Local Visa Office. I was asked to send my passport to my local visa office in spite of the fact that it was processed in Ottawa. I hope this helps.

Hi maxsteel. Congratulations. Just to clarify: How are you processed in Ottawa if you are FSW Outland? Are you a US Resident? Thanks.

I went to Peach Arc border in BC with my friend. On check post, Officer asked me why i am here, what is my current status in Canada and do you have any weapon in your car then he gave me one yellow paper where purpose of visit was landing.

I went to office where me and friend submitted our passports and later on one immigration officer called me, asked me about my COPR and some questions about conducting crime. She told me to wait for a bit and after 10 minutes she called me again and told me to sign on COPR. She also confirmed my current address for PR card. At last, she gave me some basic instructions how to maintain your PR status in Canada. Whole process was smooth and i went at 8:30 am where there was no line up so whole summed up in 20 minutes.

Jaiveer Singh, thank you for sharing your experience and congratulations with your successful landing.
As far as I can see, you were an inland applicant, is that right? If so, I have one question for you. I am FSW inland and if my application is going to be approved, I'm planning to go to the port of entry and get everything done there, because I have a valid status in Canada now and I also have US visa. What docs do I need to bring with me to the border?

Hey Jaiveer

Did you guys declared Flagpole on the US side? Or it was just entering to US and then returning back to Canada and then telling the officer that you are doing landing.

thank you, how to get that COPR? After you get approved in your myCIC account, they will ask you to send your passport or something and send it back along with COPR, is that right? What do you have to send to CIC along with your passport then?
