BG check went in progress again. Hopefully it's a good sign. FSW inland.

Hi guys....I just logged in to check my CIC account and saw status of my Permanent residency application was Updated but when i checked details everything was same!! i didn't get any email as well...What does that mean???

FSW Inland
AOR 7 November
Medical passed 14 Nov
BG in progress since 18 Nov
IELTS result asked on !9 Nov(Provided same day)
RCMP Check was asked on 4 Dec (Provided 12 Dec)

No such luck for me, still static at "Submitted".

Ok so I got first update of my profile in 4.5 months.
Didn't get an email, just logged in to myCIC and the status was "updated", so it could be today or a few days ago, I was trying not to check my profile daily)) The update was that BG went from "not started" to "not needed at this time".

Congrats! That's a good sign. Your PPR is running through the last steps now.

So after 158 days, my BG check turned to in progress today. I got a document request last week. I am applying thro' an immigration consultant and I have just been informed about the change in status.

I just hope PPR is very near.

I ordered from http://gcmsnotes.ca/ it took me 50CAD and around 31 days to generate the notes. They sent the note to my email.

Suggest you find a cheaper way of ordering the note.

Arrived by mail and a link re download for 30 days.

This is normal and a lot of applicants see this happen. Its does not mean that there is anything wrong with your application. It means that they are working on your eligibility and criminality before your BGC can go in progress.

Thanks legalfalcon! I'm thinking any update is a good thing since in any case, I did my best with the documents, so hopefully any update brings me closer to PPR)) But it was good to read your comment
I know a lot of people had their BG go back and forth, but I thought that was between "not needed" and "in progress", not "not needed" and "not started", as in my case. We'll see, I guess. I'm planning to order another set of notes on my 5th month.

yours is better, I don't get any hard copy, and my soft copy contains nothing but duplicated personal info. I didn't even go through it carefully. 224 page repetitive info makes me very tired of reading it.
