Lets hope for some PPR's here today.

1. they will send an email - Request for passport
2. once u get that email
- take a print of that email
- Passport
- 2 photos (50 X 70 mm)
- One self addressed pre-paid envelope with your complete mailing address (Standard size)

keep all the 4 in a big envelope and send it to CIC

3. when they stamp visa on ur passport at tht time ur CIC account will update saying "approved and closed"

4. They will return the standard size envelope (that u send to CIC with ur passport)
- Passport
- CoPR
- A letter with instructions/validity of PR

when we get the PPR, is it mentioned that we need to send the passport to a particular location . my wife would be travelling to india next month and in case we get PPR when she is in india , i will have to send the passport to a VO in canada and i am not sure where she should send . Please clarify

They do mention the VO. But if your wife is going to be in India at the time of PPR, You can send an email to change the VO for your wife. Not sure how long it will take for them to respond and do the necessary changes.

That would be a problem then . she is leaving by the end of may and i am not sure when i would receive the PPR. is there any thing that i can preemptively do right now that could help me when this situation arises?

you can always request them to change VO for ur wife. e.g if she is in India CIC can change the visa office in the same country. Rest just make sure about the landing procedure if she is dependent in ur application.

Nmeka, is right. Change the VO office... as i read somewhere in forum about the same situation... they sent a letter and got vo changed.... but make sure to land together.. (i think as urs is combined application u need to land together)

I will try to search about the what happened to those in the same situation

yes You can change it afterwards. Mail would be sufficient and if you dont get reply in time then giving them a call is always a good option.

I am also having a feeling that i am going to stuck beyond 6 months. Its 5.4 months (162 days) since our AOR. Last week received my GCMS notes and it says that the Criminality - in progress.. and Security didnt even start yet. Though in MYCIC the BG is in progress.

Is there any chance that they have started security checking but didnt update on GCMS notes??

God knows how long they will take it to finish. Just hoping for the best.

I start every single day with a new hope.. but by the end of the day CIC demolish my hope.. then next morning wake up with new hope.. but i can feel that the hope is not as strong as it was before.. :-[
