My BG status changed from not started to in progress today....

Coincidentally I ordered my GCMS notes day before yesterday... not sure if there is any connection between these two events....

yes i applied under CEC with LMIA and i have a valid job offer. My AOR is 27th Nov 2015 and BG changed back to inprogress on Mar 17,2016.
No news after that

Hi ,

my details as follows :

ITA :2nd Oct 2015
App Submitted : 21st Nov 2015
AOR : 21st Nov 2015
Xray submitted :127th Jan 2016( Since my wife was pregnant , she had to submit the xray later )
Medicals Passed : 2nd Feb 2016.

No updated afer this. Would there be a special case where the processing time for situations like this is more than 5-6 months. I was in dilemma if i should order the GCM notes. Anybody under the same situation or if you know people in the same situation , please PM me .

could someone clarify if we get email notification alone for PPR ? or do we get an update on the CIC account as well ? i was not sure if it has gone to spam and i deleted it accidentally without checking

Aaaa ha. It happened to number if people. Once they order GCMS they have witness some positive movement on their application.
One of my friend got through his medicals after 100+ days as soon as he order his GCMS, and after 10 days he got his PPR.
So ordering GCMS means, CIC is taking up your file (my point of view,may be im totally wrong).
You will get your PPR very soon, may be in a week or less.
I ordered mine yesterday and im expecting something positive very soon.

You might be right, Legalfalcon says that ordering GCMS forces an agent to open your file, and if there is anything pending, like the start of a BG check, they will update it since they're already in your file. If that's the case, you'll have some progress after ordering GCMS; if there was nothing pending, then nothing will happen.
That's not official information, obviously, but a pretty good assumption, I think.
