Its a Long Story to get to this day. I will try to keep it short and to the point.

Beginning October 2014, First application sent for PR under CEC. Mid October Credit Card gets hacked and my fees was supposed to go through that card. So I knew the application would return for the fees not going through. Hastily get all the paperwork back again for second application and Send that by End October while I waited for the first one to return.

Mid December 2014, First application comes back for fees not going through as I expected. And the same I read online on the forums the CAP for CEC applications ran out Mid October, So I knew the second application would come back aswell.

Come January 2015, Sign up for Express Entry on 29th and Got an Invite on 31st in the first draw as I had LMIA and Job Offer. Mid February second CEC application comes back. March beginning all paperwork uploaded for the express entry application.

August 2015, get the refusal for not having a Permanent Job.

September 2015 Get ECA done and get my scores high enough to get another Invite.

November, 2015 Got Invite under CEC.

May, 2016 Got the golden PPR Email. Send the passports the same day and received them back yesterday. Went to the Peace Arch/Douglas Border in B.C to do the Landing. Drove up to the US Border 10-15 mins wait time 8 PM in the evening. Told the officer that I was Flag Polling. He gave an Orange sticker and told us to park the car in parking and take the sticker inside (US border) with the passports. Went inside and another 10-15 mins wait before my turn came. Office knew about the flag polling. Handed over my passport and he told us to wait. 5 mins later he called us and told to follow him outside and told to bring the car towards the entry to Canada. Gave the passport and flagpolling paper and we are off on our way back into Canada.

Another 10 -15 min wait in the car to get to the Canadian Border officer. Hand over the passport and got asked the standard question of why we are here. Told I am here for the PR landing. Asks me about any money over $5000, guns, etc. Say no to all. Asks my friend who was driving how we know each other and what he does for work. The officer also took out flagpolling paper at this point. Officer told us to go hand over the slip and passports to one of the other officers in the parking area, where he directed us to a parking spot. He took our passports and told us to park the car and come back with all the documents
you have. Parked the car came back to the officer he gave the passports and yellow slip and told us to go inside the building and stand in line B.

Inside another 10 -15 min wait in line and then an officer calls us. He takes my COPR, Passport and Work Permit. Asks my friend for his passport and tells him to go have a seat. Then he tells me to check all the details on COPR and after that he asks me about any criminal records or denied entry to Canada, to which I say no and he tells me to answer NO on the COPR and my initials on the side. Then he asks me about any dependents or marriage etc in my case was none, So I say No. He tells me to write NO on the COPR and my initials again on the side. Then he tells me to sign and date on the bottom of COPR.( I am doing this on both the copies of COPR on with the photo and one without the photo). He looks at my work permit and asks that if my address is correct which I say yes. And then he tells me to go have a seat and let him finish up stuff. Get called again after another 15 mins wait. He hands me a Canadian flag and says welcome to Canada. Then he goes trough a document about how many days you have to be in Canada to maintain your PR status, Permanent SIN number and Medical insurance. Then he hands me the COPR with no photo stapled in my passport and my friends passport and also gives us that yellow slip to give it to the officer outside in the parking area.

That was my PR journey long but worth it. :)

Good luck and all will be well in the end :)

darky07, congratulations on successfully completing the journey to PPR!
So wait, is the COPR supposed to stay stapled to your passport? Isn't it, like, a huge piece of paper?
What if you go travelling to other countries, and have to submit the passport for a visa - do you submit it together with the COPR?

no, it does not need to be stapled with passport. you can take it out. They might have stapled it so that it goes to the right person with passport, they might be having more than one passports while issuing VISA and COPR.

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hi All,

Crossed 6 months of waiting for PPR on MAY 16th. I had called CIC yesterday to check the status of my application as my background check went In Progress on April 9th. I was informed by the CIC call center agent that my file was "COMPLETE" and transferred to NDVO on April 18th. He indicated that the file was "ready for landing" (I think he meant ready for VISA) and suggested to contact NDVO for an update. I have also sent an e-mail to NDVO (DELHI-IMMIGRATION@international.gc.ca) enquiring the status. Will have to wait until Monday to give them a call.

Good luck to all of us.. I hope the coming week brings us all the much awaited "golden e-mail" :)

Thanks Ellia. You can take the COPR out of the passport and keep it in a safe place.

Far in advance? I kinda thought I'm too late)) Contacted IOM yesterday about the tickets for July, they said there are no options already, because it's high season. I really wanted to book a ticket through them, they have good flights and additional luggage allowance.

You mean, if you buy after June 15, or if you fly after June 15, or both?
Both. But it's not relevant anymore, I guess.

Have you been to Toronto before, and/or studied it? I really don't know anything about the neighborhoods yet, other than, I'm assuming the Northern hemisphere rule works there, too, about the Western parts of town being generally nicer. So I've kinda decided to default to downtown, especially considering I won't have a car.
"Studied" is too strong a word, but I've seen a few videoblogs, they're all saying this.

Yeah, I guess you're right.
Oh, actually, I've found a great tool a couple days ago. Well, maybe everybody already knows about it, since it was right on the surface of the Web, first page of Google search results, but still, just in case:
http://navut.com/finder/#/metro
It's not for finding a place to rent (though it does try to provide some options), but it's a great tool to study neighborhoods. It has info for several Canadian cities and Boston.
