Yes, they gave the passports back promptly (it would have been 2 days, actually, had we been in Moscow), well before the holidays, but we decided not to waste money on a round trip. Better come in July and stay.
Yeah, jokes aside: having enough time to adapt for the coming winter is also a factor for me.

Well, where to? As I remember, you were considering Calgary? Are you already looking for a place to live?

Ah, I've decided to switch to Toronto. The situation in Alberta was not very good even before the wildfires, so I think I better leave Calgary for the future.
I've been scouting a bit, to get a feel of the market, but nothing definite yet, and I don't yet know Toronto as well as I've come to know Calgary. I think my ideal option would be to sublet a room for 2-3 months, somewhere close to downtown. I'll be doing a more specific search in the next couple of weeks, just as soon as I get my passport and book the flight.

Oh, you're booking a flight so far in advance? I've noticed the price go up after June 15 and not going back down until September. Some say there might be some last-minute options that are noticeably less expensive.

Besides ogling this luscious googlemap of Toronto we're also looking for a sublet, one in the western part would be nice.

Far in advance? I kinda thought I'm too late)) Contacted IOM yesterday about the tickets for July, they said there are no options already, because it's high season. I really wanted to book a ticket through them, they have good flights and additional luggage allowance.

You mean, if you buy after June 15, or if you fly after June 15, or both?

Have you been to Toronto before, and/or studied it? I really don't know anything about the neighborhoods yet, other than, I'm assuming the Northern hemisphere rule works there, too, about the Western parts of town being generally nicer. So I've kinda decided to default to downtown, especially considering I won't have a car.

*On GCMS it says after 28th of November they haven't touched my application and they have transferred my file to CPC Ottawa due to "work overload (re)-distribution"

*R10,PCC,ECA,IELTS,CRS,Misrepresentation all ok. However there is no update on experience verification and criminality security.

*It says no updates after Nov 28th but i got a ghost mail on 19th April. Is it even possible?

Yes, it is absolutely possible. You ordered your notes on April 3, they were probably generated somewhere around April 5-7 (you can check the accurate date in the notes), and then there was an update on April 19 that you won't see unless you order another set of notes.
My personal opinion - you're ok, especially since R10 and misrepresentation are ok. Security and criminality will just take some time. And if they said your CRS is ok, then that would mean they're okay with the work experience you've claimed.
