Hi elmas, yes I can understand that. Its not fair to make people waiting without giving any specific reasons. If they let us know what thing is preventing them from completing the security check then maybe we can help them out in getting it done faster by providing some information but they keep it hidden.

btw how do you manage to get through to the call center? I have tried them on Friday about 10 times but wasn't able to get through. Is there any specific technique?

Unfortunately, now-a-days, most of the call center agents from Ottawa are giving future dates to contact with them rather than providing information of application status. Just ask them politely, what is my application status right now. about security, extra verification, beyond average processing time, waiting for final review, eligibility review etc etc.

Keep calling to try your luck with IRCC. Regards

Hi sttaq. Yes, that's exactly what I mean, if I had some clue as to what's keeping my application from being finalized, I could help them out. It's the country, I guess. But then, there were other applicants who got ppr on time. So I don't know. I was married before, so was my husband, and my ex was an officer, but it shouldn't be that hard to confirm, after all. I don't know what to think.

As for the call center, I also tried about a dozen times on friday and got through at the very end. I guess it works better in the afternoon than in the morning. At least that's what's been happening whenever I tried to call.

I quit my job before new year's. I don't even know if I need to let them know or whether the information on my file is enough as I will only be claiming points for what I did until filing the application in March.

Good day elmas, we all are helpless in this state. Actually, the security verification process of IRCC had not yet been known to any of us. Security issues being a sensitive area, even IRCC cannot disclose that in GCMS. Country of residence or citizenship cannot be a deciding factor alone, nor the past/present occupation.

Patience is the key now.

Called them today and they told me that you will have to wait until July. He did not tell me anything except that my file is still being processed. Did not tell me anything regarding medical as well. I mean wtf!!!

I wish I could take any legal help. Can we make a group and sue them together?

That's frustrating, to say the least.

I've been thinking about this the whole day. I read a few occasions of mandamus, but we are not that far into the process yet. It's still less than a year, for example. Btw, the same call center agents that said we should wait till February or March are now pronouncing May or June! That's just unbelievable! Nothing will come out of calling the call center.

Did you ever raise a cse about the status of your application? Fatemeh had contacted csis about whether her bg was over. And she did get ppr in late december.

I don't know. Just thinking.

Yes cse and email both resulted in standard responses. I have ordered csis end of December but not sure when I'll get a response. Running out of patience now
