Guys... I've now gone 14 hours without accessing MyCIC to see the status of my file... :-\

Can I go the whole 24 hours... Ahh it's too hard... must see if the BLANK docs field has finally changed... ahhh...

It has been 3 minutes since I last checked my application... and there has been no change what so ever...

You know, the hidden blessing about OINP was the lack of transparency, the fact that checking was too difficult to check, just trying to get through on the phone was a pain... But now it's too easy... so easy that we need to do it compulsively... DARN!!!

It is 8 am right now in Ottawa, i suggest you wait 7-8 hours and check again after their work day is over

If you search the forum you'll find plenty information on that... In short if you're a citizen or a PR you can do it yourself for $5 (so if you know someone that is they can do it for you), just go here :

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/atip/requests-atip.asp

If not then you need to find a company that will do it for you, they normally charge around $30.. A search on google will reveal various companies that do this.

Not to feed into the addiction, but when I applied for a PGWP I received emails at very odd times. One time I recall getting an email from MYCIC account at 9 pm (Note that I lived in ON at the time too so I shared the same work hours). :

Yesterday I was in the gym and I had this urge/feeling that I need to check MYCIC account ahahaha. I stopped my workout and used my phone, needless to say I was extremely disappointed with myself :-X

I don't think they work 24/7 haha, although that would be very good for us.

I think they might update a profile by starting an automatic process and that process can take some time to be done.. Or maybe manual updates might take some time to be reflected on the profile

hahahahah... half way through the workout is tough!

Well the system is automated and there are something that probable don't update online, overnight batch, etc... so we're bound to receive updates at odd hours I think.

So regardless the changes won't be visible on your profile until said database package, replication, process ... etc is completed successfully. So checking MYCIC account at any point in the day is absolutely justifiable :

And so is at any time throughout the night after all these batch processes are unpredictable!

On a different note, anyone willing to take/share the responsibility of maintaining an online google spreadsheet like the ones for November and December eAPR groups? We could probably create a google form that feeds the information in, and people can use their personalized links to modify their submissions. With that being said it will still be a fair amount of work to maintain. (I guarantee people won't use the google form) ???

My day job is very unpredictable; as in I could go days without personal access to the internet so I really don't want to make a promise that I might not be able to keep. So I'm looking for enthusiastic volunteers willing to share the burden. 8)

My google spreadsheets skills are quite poor so this would be quite a burden for me.... Anyway, andy108 has already suggested we all use the IMMI tracker... I figure this is as good as any other external tool for keeping track of applicants, no?

I'm not a fan of that tracker for many reasons including:
- Not being able to put statistics on it.
- The fact that you need to register to input information (That puts people off)
- Modifying the columns to match what we look for in status changes.
> The tracker doesn't show milestone updates like BG check going from Not Needed to Not Started or to In progress.
> It doesn't even have a column for when the medicals were passed
- The colors alone drives me insane ahaha
