There should be a better way of tracking our applications than just wondering what the status means ::)

When and how do we get a UCI?
I already have a UCI number for my previous visit to Canada. Will this make a difference to my application?
Agreed!

I think UCI should remain the same, this is like you unique ID with IRCC/CIC... That's why they ask you for a UCI number if you've ever had one, makes it easier for them to identify you.

That's expected... FSW move a little quicker through the initial part of the process as there is less checking to be done for them. Less documents (so R10 is quicker).

CEC usually have a bit more documents (T4 tax forms, etc.) and PNP have extra checks too...

Later on in the process outland applicants (most FSW) tend to go to their LVO which can vary quite a bit... In São Paulo the VO is notorious slow and inefficient so we can expect a few months extra processing time. Last year there were cases of people who only got PPR's with 1 month to land (yes 11 months processing). However, New Delhi in India is apparently very efficient and process people very quickly... No idea about China, but I should imagine they're probably quite efficient too.

Legend has it that some later PNP checks are more relaxed because the province has already done previous background checks on the reference letters, PoF, etc... But I've not seen much evidence of that on the trackers.
Chinese PNP applicants tend to go faster than FSW and this is what I observed on Chinese immigration platforms. Stay upbeat!

Good to know.. there is always hope! It just seems that they've processed people with AORs up to 3rd of Jan and then stopped processing everyone after that... The wait is driving me insane!

Anyway, you're more than welcome to stick with us here, but you do know that there is a Dec 2016 AOR group, right? http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/express-entry-eapr-submitted-in-december-2016-t462995.0.html

AOR 9th Jan,

Just submitted my BOWP based on AOR. Now if and when my BOWP gets approved, I can safely assume my R10 check is also complete.

Good stuff! I wish I could submit a BOWP... In fact I wish I could go back in time and not pay the RFPR fees upfront, that way I'd know when my initial checks have been completed!

Now my biggest doubt is: when to order GCMS notes??? I'm holding myself back from ordering a set now!

I was going to order a set after 6 weeks, but now I figure that perhaps after 3 weeks should be ideal, if there is something wrong perhaps I can submit a CSE before the 8 week mark where they seem to be rejecting applications for random reasons...

GCMS is useful only after 3 months that's what I have read so far. Don't think about rejection. You have gone through the biggest hurdle OINP so don't think you'll have any problem now.

Which random reasons are they rejecting applicants ?

I told you guys about Binjoy, right? Nov group had an update the other day about two months after AOR... was the first update and it was rejection. Well actually, her application was cancelled. Reason: several required documents missing. She then phone the CIC help line and the lady said she could see all the documents that were supposedly missing except for two PCC on her profile so she go ahead an send a CSE for them to reopen... It's a mess!

I figure if I order GCMS notes 3 weeks after AOR I may be able to see if there is a document or two that the office is unhappy about and proactivelly resend it. If you order after 3 weeks you'll get to see what they've put on your profile up to that time... The reason most seem to thing it's useless is because rejections/cancelations that occurs during the initial checks generally occur quickly... But in poor Binjoy's case it seems like the file was flagged for rejection initially probably because the officer had trouble opening a few PDFs and was probably left there te be double checked by another officer and was forgotten... May be it reached the 8 week mark without the R10 OK and was automatically cancelled by the system... Some safeguard so that files don't get forgotten about... Don't know... Mind is wondering right now :p

Yeah I read that. They need to change their system to allow applicants to see what they have uploaded. I mean how else would an applicant be 100% sure they have uploaded their documents correctly. Its best to have folders having only the documents you need to upload to avoid error. But we are only human.

Uploading certificate /degree / diploma is a must along with ECA. Many people have got rejected for not doing so.

My profile looks exactly like yours.. Hopefully we get some kind of update soon.
At least "no additional documents needed" instead of blank!

Guys I realised something and would ask for your advise;

I am residing in Qatar since 19/05/2013 and the PCC I have obtained from the authorities refer to the dates between the commencement of my residency and the date I've got the PCC (29/12/2016)

Question is I have short periods of visits in 2012; should the PCC have covered these periods too?
Yes you need that one too. There was application rejection because applicant did not include older period in his PCC. so your Qatar PCC shall include that year 2012 as well. And it shall be issued within last 6 months as well.

Finally change on mine application today.
E-APR on 3dr of January

It changed from initial setup to this:
Application/profile status Open
Review of eligibility Review in Progress
Review of medical results Passed
Review of submitted documents No additional documents are needed at this time
Scheduling an interview Not needed at this time
A background check is needed Not Started
Final decision Not Started

So I hope this is the sign, that the application was submitted to the local VO. And I hope it also means that Ontario has confirmed my PNP status. (I know that eligibility will only turn to passed after you get your COPR documents).
