Do we know how long it usually takes for NA to changed to IP(2) ?

Currently at NA for like a week and my AOR was Feb 3rd.
Thanks

Not everybody receive RCMP request.

Security Clearance means if you are a possible threat for Canada, conducted through different intelligence agencies.
Since you are already in Canada no need to worry about it.

Criminality check usually conducted on initial stage by referring to your PCCs to check if you have conducted any crime in the past.

Hi Guys,

I passed my medical exam on March 06th, 2017 and since then my BG status has been "Your application is in progress. The next step is to conduct a background check." I wanted to know if this is same as "IP1"?
Should I contact CIC regarding this as the forum states that so many people have already passed this stage and are currently on "IP2" or NA status. Please help!

AOR - Feb 08th, 2017
MED - March 06th, 2017

Your BGS status is "Not Started" and not In progress.

Thanks rg74. Do you think I should follow up with CIC regarding this? You received your AOR much later than me and your background check is already in progress. Moreover I'm a CEC applicant too.

You are perfectly fine as some have NS (if done RCMP upfront) and some have IP (I didn't do RCMP upfront).

If you want to contact CIC you can but it is too early. Your status will change from Not Started - Not Applicable - In progress - PPR.
