Inland PNP applicants are not getting anything lately. Our applications seem to be sidelined.
It looks like PNP applications are not processed quickly like before !!!!

Hello Team,

My WP got expired on 7th and I applied on *th and application got rejected.
But, My PR application already in process.

Question : Can I work till the time decession is made on my PR application ?
Your WP should have been approved since your AOR is Feb. Your eligibility must be passed by now. Strange.

Did they give you reason for rejection? Did you apply for Bridging Open Work permit? If yes, you have to apply for it before expiry of open work permit and not after the expiry, after expiry, you have to apply for restoration of status and then apply again for BOWP.

I believe they give you 90 days from the expiry of your work permit.

I am not sure if you can apply for both together but I will leave it to others to answer.

Guys I need help.

Timeline:
FSW Inland : 6th March 2016
AOR: 6th March 2016
Doc Req: RCMP Fingerprint 7th April

I ordered GCMS notes and got this:

Updated Date: 2016/3/24
Note: failed candidate - proof of funds appear not met

No notes after this.

I have submitted 15300 CAD as proof of Funds. It was submitted as per the requirement. Is there a reason why this note is there?
Anyone else faced this issue?

Hi wonder_ponder,
I would suggest your to submit a Case specific inquiry as soon as possible. https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/canada-case-cas-eng.aspx

The amount of money is related to the number of applicants http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/funds.asp

If your amount is higher than specified, another reason of 'proof of funds appear not met' might be that the source of funds is not convincing. For example, the amount is much higher than the monthly net income (income minus spendings) shown on your bank statements. If your family members or friends lend you the money, they need to sign a gift letter (to show that you don't have to return the money).

Thanks. I have submitted a Case Specific Inquiry with all my documents again.

What I'm wondering is, I'm on a work permit and I have a full time job as well with a big firm(I had the same when I applied for my PR and all docs are updated with CIC). Technically I should be exempt from proof of funds. Why is this a reason for rejection?

Hi all,

Answer to these will be much much appreciated...

1 . What size of envelop we should use for sending our passports for PR Stamping?

2. From what I understand we can send them parcel using any envelope and only for them (CIC) to send our passport back to our mailing address, we need ONE prepaid envelop. right?

3. what should we write behind the 2 photos that they requested?

>> One letter size that will contain the email, passport, photo and another small size envelope for return.
Just go to Canadapost and tell them that you will send passport via xpresspost.

2. From what I understand we can send them parcel using any envelope and only for them (CIC) to send our passport back to our mailing address, we need ONE prepaid envelop. right?

>> Nope you have to use xpresspost for both. why do you wanna take chance?

3. what should we write behind the 2 photos that they requested?

>> Go to london drugs, tell them you want PR photos, they will print it back (address of photolab, date, name, signature)

You need to write your name and sign only on one of the two photographs.

You need date and location as well.
Here is the guideline:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/pdf/5445EB-e.pdf

The back of one (1) photograph must:
* bear the name and date of birth of the subject, as well as the name and complete address of the photography studio
* bear the date the photograph was taken
* the photographer may use a stamp or handwrite this information. Stick-on labels are unacceptable.

Calling doesn't help either most of the time, best thing you can do is order GCMS notes.
Then you can see what's actually going on..
