Hi, guys!

I have some questions. Me and my husband received an invitation to apply on December 2015. And the 2nd of February we`ve apploated all documents and applied for PR.
On the 3rd of February we received Acknowledgement of receipt and the same date Confirmation of Online Application Transmission

A few days later we received notification that we passed medical exam.

And that`s all...almost 5 months we do not receive any messages.

That`s what we have in My CIC account

Application/profile status Open
Review of eligibility Review in Progress
Review of medical results Passed
Review of submitted documents No additional documents are needed at this time
Scheduling an interview Not needed at this time
A background check is needed Not needed at this time
Final decision Not Started

Today I tried to check the status via online service
But the system tells me the following

We were not able to identify you using the information you provided.

What does that mean? The information is correct - 100%!!!

All situation makes me to be nervous...

Probably smb had something like this?

If you used ECAS (e-client application status) to check on your application status, then this kind of message is normal: since November-December, ECAS is no longer available to permanent resident applicants. To get more info about your application you'll have to apply for GCMS (global case management system) notes: https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/welcome.do?lang=en . If you are not in Canada, there are companies offering to get GCMS notes for you, e.g. http://www.visafile.info/

Thank you fot your reply! :)
Yes I used ECAS.
And we are not in Canada, so as I understand we should use the help of companies.

And one more question - how do you think is it necessary to do now or is it better to wait any changes in MyCic account?

I`m really afraid that it is too long time without any notifications :(

IRCC's goal is to process 80% of applications in under 6 months, so don't worry about the wait.
GCMS notes give more details about the stage your application is at. Also they may help prevent refusal: I've seen several people on this forum, who submitted additional info after they saw bad agent reviews in their GCMS notes, and thus prevented PR refusal. In my opinion, they are useful to understand the status of your application.

Hi Artray

Having seen your timeline, i noticed that your application was processed pretty quick (compared with others in Feb AOR Group), would you mind sharing a little bit about your background so all of us can have some sorts of estimation based on your result. Much appreciate!

First thing I made sure is that my application was complete when I filed - no request for additional documents :) I think that is one of the main reasons.

In terms of my background:
- Double-Bachelor's degree from the U.S.
- Eight years work experience from India (6 years in the same NOC) - two of the three companies that I worked at during this time were large MNCs
- Double-Master's from Australia (my ECA was equivalent to a Canadian Masters degree)
- Six months work experience in Australia (in same NOC)
- CLB Level 10 in IELTS for all sections

All my education and most of my work experience was in relevant and related fields, so that may have helped.

Good luck to you and everyone else still waiting!

Draw was on 13 January ;D

Multiple countries still quick PPR. Lucky. I guess it also depends on your VO. Sydney VO must not be as busy as CPC (it is crazy in CPC) :-\

Any plans on further studies :o

Congratulations btw ;D

Thank you! Actually, my primary was NDVO - only changed it to Sydney VO for COPR stamping :) I've heard CPC is crazy, but they are trying to clear applications much faster than before with reduced ITAs going out. Yup, plan to do my PhD in a couple of years - still working in Sydney. Will probably work in Canada for a year before getting back into studies ;)
