Yes you should write them and ask why there are no updates? its been a while. Most of us got the call so no worries on that part.. Write to NDVO and update us with your finding. Best of luck.

What is the best way? Email or Call? Also, where may I find the details to contact them? Thank you!

Don't do anything of the sort. Order GCMS notes and see what going on. You are still under your 6 month waiting period and that it what they will tell you.

If you mail/call them - best case scenario they ignore you/ tell you that <6 months.
- worst case scenario you piss-off your caseworker.

Wait your time and be patient but at least order yourself a copy of your notes so you can see what's going on in the background.

There are lot many people who have been waiting for more than 5 months and there is not update.
So no point in calling them, you can order GCMS and check whats happening with application or wait for 2 more months and then call. IMO its fine if there is no update.

You don't want to piss them off by calling or emailing. Order GCMS notes if you want. You should call only after 6 months from AOR. Good luck. Hope you get the PPR sooner than 6 month.

What is your background check? In progress or not needed?

Right now, it says "Not Needed"

Thank you everyone for all your inputs :) I won't contact them right now...the last thing I want is to piss off an already overworked case worker ;)

Hello mates,
I got RPRF request letter last night. My officer also wanted me CV/Resume.

:)

Considering RPRF which means Right of Permanent Residency fee Does it mean my app is approved and they want to isse PPR for me?

Its likely that u will get PPR soon but we hv seen cases where application was rejected even after RPRF.

Also there is few applicants who have 2/3 months difference between RPRF and PPR requests. #unpredictable

Can't do anything about it, but wait!!
At the most you can order GCMS notes.
Have been waiting since 8th Feb.

I've ordered GCMS notes but it didn't help much since the notes are as of April (date on which I ordered). and it took a month to get to me, I received just recently in May. I'm actually contemplating of ordering another but I'm thinking about waste of money. maybe I would order another one once I reached my 4th month. waiting sucks big time! :'(
