Thanks for the help!! I was able to locate the notes, they are as below it was a scanned copy so had to type it out. This was the status on 30-Apr and no update since. Based on this can anyone help how is it going and how long expected??

Officially, he has to order as he is Canadian citizen not you. But, you can also order by filling his details like name, address, mobile no etc. Put your email id while ordering so that you get the notes on your email id. on second or third page of online form, it will ask for your details like your EE profile no, name etc. Fill everything, pay CAD 5 and you are done.

Nope, your friend has to be present in Canada, permanent status or citizenship doesn't matter

True, PR or citizenship is not mandatory. Any individual or corporation currently present in Canada can also order.

after no news so far

I was wondering if there are any applicants for FSW Outland who have seen any progress on their application? My details are as follows:

ITA: 27 Jan 2016
AOR: 23 Feb 2016
Medicals Passed: 26 Feb 2016

After that the Background Status changed from "Not Required" to "Not Started" and back to "Not Required" all in one day on 2 March 2016. Not a beep since, even though I got a call from someone claiming to be from the Indian immigration office in India to check my background details about 2 weeks back. Should I write and enquire about why there has been no update to my account, even though clearly my background check is in progress?

I'm getting massively worried...Any reply or information will be much appreciated Has this happened to anyone before?

Yes you should write them and ask why there are no updates? its been a while. Most of us got the call so no worries on that part.. Write to NDVO and update us with your finding. Best of luck.
