It's been a very quiet week so far... My background check has been in process for more than a month now and no updates.

Same here, my background check went to "in progress" a couple of days after AOR, when they requested the FBI Certificate, and its been that way ever since. Its now 2 months.

Have no idea what to expect next...

None.. We are all anxiously waiting .. :-\

Hi When did you got a call ? & what all they asked ?

They asked my Personal details and about my current work place.
Do I have any relatives in Canada? How did I apply for this program - consultancy or on my own?

Very generic questions. Nothing to worry about during the call.

Worry starts after the call. As I got a ghost email. But I don't see any update on MyCIC.

The call centre agent did say it was a quality assurance call.

i told her that i had taken an agents help to file the papers...she asked me how much had i paid him.

So i think its basically to iron out any foul play or fraud

right now i checked my profile on mycic...it showed the status as updated but nothing has changed & i have not got any ghost email either

Hi Kushal, how did you check your status as updated on MyCIC?

I got an email after the call from NDVO that my profile has been updated. But there were no changes

i just checked it randomly...i do that every few days

My status has been changed to updated 3x already but nooooo changes. Even got a ghost mail for the 2nd update.

Hi guys!,

I submitted my PR FSW inland online in February 2,2016 but since end of February I didn't have any update.

Currently I am working with a IEC - Young Professional visa, but the situation in my company is very unstable. Nowadays I am afraid to lose my job and in other hand I have another job offer with better conditions, that I would like to take. My question is:

Can I change the employee with this type of work permit?

Should I wait until my company lay me off?

Does this affect my PR application?

Can CIC rejected my residency?

Please, if someone can help me or assist me with this that will be great.

Thank you

Hey buddy,
Here are my thoughts, I hope they will help you somehow.

1. You need to wait for layoff anyway, if you have ready to go job, then just wait for the layoff, then you can simply move to your new job. It will help you to be in the same job as long as possible.
2. After moving to a new job, you need to send a note to CIC with detailed explanation of what happened and DETAILED info about your new job. It will be better also to send some papers, scans and proofs about your new job. Also put subject as URGENT, so they will have your updated status right away.

Sorry, if I could not answered to all your questions, but I think you will be fine, just do not panic and keep calm!

Any movement for any CEC applicant?
