Hi manidhatt, thank you for sharing your BOWP timeline. I will be following in your steps to apply for my BOWP as my WP expires on 26 June 2016. I just wanted to wait to pass my 2 month mark since AOR. For me that is tomorrow.

Sadly though I think you will get PPR at least 3 months before me as you are CEC and I am FSW Inland. Congratulations once again on successfully getting my BOWP. If I could ask a question and make a suggestion.

Question: How long is your BOWP valid for (ie 6 months, 1 year etc.)?

Suggestion: Inform Service Canada/the CRA so that they can extend your Temporary SIN to ensure your employer can continue to legally withhold amounts of Income Tax from your salary. Also inform your bank and other 3rd parties who you have given your SIN to.

Hey,

Please check my question, nobody answered yet, but I got the answer finally.

You can do flagpoling to extend your work permit. Please see here: http://www.visatalk.ca/flagpoling/

Got the passport request today :D :D
Congrats!! That was quick....

I got a ghost email today.. i.e. one day after PPR. (Yesterday's PPR did accompany with an email update).
But today's mail did not show any change in the application.

Also I have submitted my passports in vfs hyderabad today.

Chiron and others have you got a similar ghost email?
Is this a common thing after PPR?

Hi, we also knew yesterday that my employer (current) was called and emailed. After this, where there any update on your profile? Which VO are you?

Hi JWZR421,

yes, there was the update exactly on the date of call: the BG changed to In Progress (before that it was Not needed). I'm Warsaw VO I guess.

Thanks a lot for the congrats! I wish to say the same to you soon.
Well, the Visa Officer just asked the first person who answered the call whether she knew who I was, and what kind of job I was doing.

Thanks for the reply, Natalia. And also thank you for the wishes!

It seems that calling the employers became more frequently. I've seen happening to you and two other people who got the PPR. The good news is that, apparently, they just ask the regular questions and nothing too complicated. I'm concern because my actual employer speaks English, but it's not his primary language. But if CIC only asks simple questions, I believe it won't be a problem.
