Hello all,

I have a question: Most of you indicate that around the time your medicals get passed you also receive the status "Background check in progress", and then some days later it changes to "Background check not needed". Do you know why that happens or what it means??

this is not the case with all. for some BG remains in progress only.
From whatever info i could collect from this forum, it turns to not needed when file is transferred to some other Visa Office due to load re-distribution after initial check.

hey guys, I have submitted a CSE (Case Specific Enquiry). I had not included a copy of original document regarding my PCC. How can I make sure they will receive it and will attach it to my application before the completeness check ??

Can I e-mail them and notify them ? What e-mail address do i send it to ?

This is a big misstep from your end. PCC is a mandatory requirement where small mistakes could lead to rejection, let alone not submitting one entirely.

Your best bet here is to submit a CSE attaching your PCC. I don't think there's anything else you can do aside to pray that they consider your CSE. I'm not aware of their email address as well.

Experts, please advise here.


P.S.: good news here is if IRCC rejects you, you can contact OINP to reissue your nomination to a new EE profile.

Quickest Time I have seen: 2 Days

Slowest Time I have seen: 4 months

Seems like we are in the same boat. AOR 12 Feb 2016 with upfront medicals done more than a week before AOR :/

That's incorrect. Its not because the file is getting transferred to another VO. it is because the primary checks are completed leaving criminality and security.
