So, despite already receiving my PPR, I thought I'd see what my GCMS notes said since they were kind enough to send them to me today. Everything looked pretty straight forward but was interested to see that they were unable to locate my husbands company address when they did a 'web based search'. They could see 'commercial buildings and high rises but no building or vehicles with a company sign' - seems to me they do a Google maps search as part of the process!!! That kind of made me chuckle :P

omg that's so interesting!

Hi All,

We recently received our family's visa stamped passports back from LA office. I learnt a lot from this forum and would like to thanks everybody for sharing their experiences. My timeline is in my signatures as I can't access the excel spreadsheet.

Once again thank you and best of luck!!!

I replied back to the PPR email (sent by CPCO) stating apprehensions regarding sending the passports out of country of residence, after 2 week I received a similar email for passport submission from LA

Hi Guys,

I received my passport back with the visa stamped along with the COPR. Finally !

Now I have two queries which I am not sure would belong to this thread any further.

1. I am an Indian citizen currently living in Germany. Now the problem is the visa expiry date is in November 2016. I actually want to stay a little bit longer in Germany and move to Canada sometime mid of next year. But as i understand we have to apply for the PR card in Canada before the expiry of the visa given. So my question is - Can I take couple of weeks off
(3 weeks may be ?) , visit canada, apply for the PR card and come back ? May be I could give one of my relatives canadian postal address and he could receive the PR card there ? If yes do you think 3 weeks would be sufficient for all such administrative work ?

2. Is there any other thing that I need to do before moving to canada ?

I wish everyone luck who are waiting for the PPR/COPR !

Cheers!

Yes you can come for few days, complete your landing and than go back.
My uncle did the same thing.

Good luck

I just received my GCMS notes, i applied on 21st April..
it says eligibility met on 22 april, 2016. note 2
note 1 says met on 22 march. Still no update..
AOR 22nd dec. criminality- completed. security- left
anything wrong??

It also says eligibility- review required. But notes from officer say Met! I don't know why it's not met. Eligibility review required? Is it a big issue?

Hello Guys,

I just LANDED! The process was really smooth! I do not posses US Visa and was on restoration status. No problem! I went to US border and explained the officer that I was going to flagpole. The officer was really nice and gave me the administrative refusal noting that I was not planning to enter the country. I walked back to Canada side and spoke with CBSA explaining my situation. I showed them my receipt when I applied for restoration along with my COPR and PR Visa. CBSA Officer told me to sit down and within 10 mnts she called me and gave me signed my PR! I went to Service Canada and got my new SIN number!

My advise to ppl who want to flagpole is to remain confident and be nice to the officers! Also, dont go on weekends because they are really busy!

Good luck everyone!

Congrats :) Hopefully this is the beginning of another PPR rain for the rest of us
