Strange, seems this doesn't really reflect the true status of the BG CHECK.
I think it means someone worked on your application.
Did you get email or you just checked?

Schedule A may be required for some applicants (not all). Please fill in your timeline in the spreadsheet.
Best of luck!

That is pretty normal mate. Don't worry.
Most December guys are the same.
Did you get your medical passed?

Please fill in your timeline information in the spreadsheet.
All the best :)

Thanks~~ I just add my timeline in the spreadsheet. ;D

I understand this is totally subjective - We all being December AOR candidates, expect our application to get approved ?

its subjective then - ofcourse yes...however the reality is different.

As per the calculator - CEC inland applicants should get something by End of February. But lets see what it turns out to be.

:) :)

Based on the Cal. the FSW- Outland applications will be processed by April. :P

My status updated on Jan 14-
'A background check is needed' changed from 'In progress' to 'Not needed at this time'

Is it common??

CEC
ITA - Dec 04
AOR - Dec 06
Medicals Passed - Dec 16

1) There is a thread http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/my-background-check-wentt-from-in-progress-to-not-needed-at-this-time-t385125.0.html
+plus separate spreadsheet https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/168S8dzijHN-SnmwQ6e1z4xtHdz8vRGk5R5q0cksLPK8/edit?usp=sharing created by "kvr007"

P.S.: Please, update or add your timeline in the December spreadsheet. Thank you!

Received schedule A for spouse today !

My BG check moved to in progress on the same day as AOR (21 Dec) and hasn't moved. From reading lots of threads it is quite common to flick between in progress and not started on a few occasions without being massively meaningful. It does seem to be common though that for PPR to be achieved BG should be in progress.

I hope that my BG changed to "not needed" because I did not pay RPRF upfront. As soon as they request it, maybe it will return to "in progress".

Yeah, I agree with you Mark.

Wishing you all the best :)
