HELLO
MY BG CHECK WENT TO NOT STARTED YESTERDAY AND TODAY AGAIN IT WENT TO NOT NEEDED AT THIS TIME
:-[
IS THAT NORMAL
Strange, seems this doesn't really reflect the true status of the BG CHECK.
I think it means someone worked on your application.
Did you get email or you just checked?

Question to all of you. I submitted by application on Dec 14th and my work permit expires in May. Should I wait till next month till I apply for BOWP or is it risky cuz as per CIC the BOWP should be applied when there is 4 months of work permit left. Anyone any suggestions?

Thanks

im in the same situation ..mine is expiring in june...i have thought to apply the bridge open work permit in may ...coz if processing time is about 3 months ...implied statuss till july gives me extra months to stay and can wait for PR decision longer if it takes.

Thanks for the response,I thought the same thing but I am worried if we apply for BOWP when it is less than 4 months, it could cause rejections/complications? I might be wrong. Have you asked around about this to someone. Because even I would wanna save money if I ca get a PR update before my work permit expires or apply in March so that I can get more time to stay here.

What do you think?

Thanks

Hello folks,

I did not receive a request for schedule 4/4A yet however, I got 2 ghost emails and updates in my account in the past two days. Does everyone get a schedule 4/4A request? what is that based on?

Following is my timeline -

FSW Inland

Submitted - Dec 4th, 2015
AOR - Dec 18th, 2015
Review of eligibility: Review in progress - Dec 18th, 2015
Medical: Passed - Jan 6th, 2016
BG Check: In Progress - Jan 6th, 2016

I thought the 4 4/a (certainly for FSW outland) was now captured in the ITA submission. I don't see why they would ask for it again.
Happy to be told otherwise though.

Sched 4/4A is mandatory for provincial nominee applicants - irrespective of FSW,CEC or FST.
As long as you're not a PN, you don't need it.

I am PNP applicant, I have submitted Schedule 4 with my application(Other Documents Uploads), after the submission they just requested Schedule A :)

BOWP should be applied only if your existing WP is expiring within 4 months. I would say you should apply in April since if everything goes as planned BOWP fees might be waste of money. But to be on safer side you can consider applying it before April as well. As soon as you apply for BOWP, your status will be changed to implied and you can continue to do what ever you are doing currently.

I was in the similar situation where in my WP was going to expire in Mar but I waited till last moment and wait was good after all.

Schedule 4/4A is requested if they feel that you have left some gap between in travel / personal history. I've seen many non-PN applicants filling that. I was not requested for those docs.

JK_CAD
Sch 4 /4a is only for provincial candidates
Schedule A is for travel/pers history or if you answered 'Yes' in one of questions - like have you ever been rejected Visa etc etc..

My AOR is dated 22/12 and have uploaded Medical's on 23/12. The status of my CIC still says Medical not needed, is that normal after 3 weeks of up-front medical, the status does not change ?
