Hey guys,

My background check went to "Not needed at this time" from "In Progress"...Now I am scared!!

aplicatn submission on Dec 12th
Eligibility in progress : dec 14th
Schedule 4 and 4 A reqst : Jan 4th


Medicals still shows not requird ... is that ok .. ???

My AOR is 24 Dec and I got Sch 4/4A request on 30 Dec. My medicals is also "Not Needed at this time" although I had submitted upfront medicals print out that has UMI number for all 3 of my family members at the application time itself.

You are perfectly fine. If you want to rest happy, you can call or visit your doctor and ensure they submitted the medical results in their system for all of your members with the right UMI numbers. You can even look at their "Grading". If its A, then you are perfectly safe. B does not mean that your VISA will be refused, just that another medical officer might look at it and ask for other tests.

IMHO, all these are not required. We've to wait atleast for 2-3 months after AOR to see if something concrete changes in application. 1 month hardly warrants any worry. And since you anyway got Sch 4/4A request, it means a case officer has already looked at most critical uploads and your application overall looks complete and not cancelled already. So you are good for another month.

I have been looking at the excel sheet data and for all CEC candidates , there have been NO updates other than Medical Pass. I am not sure that was it alwys slow for CEC or this trend has just started ...

Yeah, there are very rare responses after getting medicals passed for both CEC and PNP. It seems that Christmas and New year holidays affected processing significantly.
We have to wait and see and in most cases no news is good news

It doesn't have a PNP class. I think it is very generic to give an idea for newbies. Don't know whether it is updated or not.

I see that BG status is almost random, where in some cases it gets changed back and forth and for some applicants it keeps as not started and then they get PPR.
