Guys,
For those that did the upfront medical and is anxious to know how you 'performed' pending the status change.
1. You can request for your medical case details from the doctor ( this is different from the upfront slip given to you on your exam date). It is usually ready after the test have been graded and transmitted to CIC. So basically, CIC use these details to assess and change your status to 'Passed' or otherwise (God forbid). It is usually about 6 pages and has the full med exam results.
2. Get some understanding on the grading and the tests from here - http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/publications/dmp-handbook/
In summary, your medical exam aim should be grade 'A'- This means no abnormal findings. I also deduced that you cannot fail medical for being overweight I.e your BMI exceeded 24.9 but less than 30. I don't have information on BMI above 30 but I guess it cannot necessarily lead to refusal given that BMI itself is used in reference to other factors e.g heart rate, blood pressure, muscle to fat ratio, life style and all other public health jargon.
Cheers!
