Compliments Everyone.

Please I have a quick question. My BC (Background Check) changed to in progress on Dec 30. Please what goes on in the BC stage? Is that the process when my criminal record is checked or the process of work history verification?

Thanks.

Typically it means that your BG check has been started for your application, but actually it doesn't mean much as some applicants got their PPR a couple of days after getting this status while others get this changed many times (either to not needed this time or in progress).

It seems that the real processing progress is not shown accurately on MyCIC, so all what we have to do is to pray and wish for the best..

PS: If you are a December applicant, you are invited to enter your timeline on the spreadsheet.

Best of luck!

According to the information here http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/ CEC and PNP applicants who applied after January 1, 2015 can view their application status only in MyCIC, but FSW applicants, who also applied after January 1, 2015 can view their application status online in ECAS.

Unfortunatelly, it seems that... CEC and PNP guys would not have access to ECAS anymore...

So, all we have to do is to wait for emails from CIC :)

YES, THIS IS THE WAITING GAME !

And it seems it's gonna be a long wait. Sep-Nov AOR's havent started getting PPR's except a few cases :(

At least you have PNP bro, so the waiting time for you would be much shorter in comparison with direct ITA holders ;)

No that is not true. Off late PNP applicants are slowest in processing by CIC. Just go through forum lots of PNP applicants with Aug and Sept AOR are still waiting for PPR. Forget about October and November PNP AOR applicants. Its a long wait buddy for everyone. Doesnt matter if u r pure FSW or PNP FSW outland

I have been looking at the excel sheet data and for all CEC candidates , there have been NO updates other than Medical Pass. I am not sure that was it alwys slow for CEC or this trend has just started ...

This popular thread http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/ee-processing-time-calculator-general-statistics-t347483.0.html;msg4600992#msg4600992
Has a nice tool which analyzes the general statistics mostly about average processing times, for any category.
