Hi all,
After submitting my application on Dec 4th, I got a message "Confirmation of Online Application Transmission" message which had my payment receipt number.

Since receiving this message, I did not receive any other information from CIC, either online or email. I did not get a msg for AOR (which i am assuming is the second message after submission. Any ideas whether this is a common issue or not?

You should have received an email stating that you got a new message in your MyCIC account. In that message, you will find a PDF file with your AOR.

They used to pass the medical on the next day or two. It has obviously been slowing down for some reason, may be the Syrian refugee thing

Yours is fast man! When did you do your medical examination? I did mine on Nov 17 and I got AOR on Dec 9 but they still seem to be checking my eligibility now, nothing updated yet!
