does you PPR letter not mention how to submit the passport and where?

it shall be written clearly.

you will have to use VFS to submit your passport and it will be stamped in new delhi

Oddly enough the email I received doesn't give any details on where to send your passports if you are outside North America. To receive that information it states I must write an email to CIC stating I live outside of North America so that they can guide me to the next appropriate steps..But anyways thanks for your response. Just sharing a bad experience with Canada Post. I got PPR on May 04, sent my passport the same day around 12:30 pm through Canada Post Xpresspost (2 days guaranteed delivery). It's still undelivered as of May 09. No one knows where my mail is, it's showing processing error, customer care is not much of a help.

Make your informed decision, we don't have a choice when the passport is back to us, but we do have a choice when we are sending the documents to CIC. Hope mine will be delivered soon.

PS: even the destination wrong at Canada post tracking website (I made no error on my part, except trusting Canada Post).

It's 2 business days not 2 days. It is all dependent on the time you deposit the package to Caanda post.
It should be delivered today.
Hopefully it will get updated today on the website.

BUt as its a PO box ,we do not have any option too :-(
I sent mine on 6th MAY and expected delivery is 10th MAY... lets see

My experience with XpressPost is to never send out a package on Thu or Fri, They usually miss up things over weekend. But after your story I will extend it till Wed

I sent my on Friday!! Although, thankfully, it was only copies and not our actual passports!

I sent mine on Wednesday and the status showed that its out for delivery on Friday(may 06), And even today it shows out for delivery.. Called them in the morning and was told it was delivered on Friday. The on line status never changed..

Looks like they have lost mine, the destination is wrong on the website tracker and customer service people don't know where the item is, why it is showing wrong destination (now don't say that I have put wrong address coz I didn't, I have a copy for my records). Will wait for few more days and contact CPC for extension, as i might need to get a new passport first.

I don't know but I was so nervous when sending passport. I by mistake even wrote a wrong address of CIC and then I corrected it. I sent my passport yesterday and today it shows the expected delivery date 10th May

Hopefully it will reach soon.

It is mandatory to send the passport using Canada Post? Arent we allowed to using FedEx services?

Even if you used FedEx to send the package to CIC, the return pre-paid envelope MUST be an Xpresspost envelope from Canada Post.

Ours has been out for delivery since 11am this morning. Pretty sure the envelope has arrived as don't think it takes 9 hours to deliver the mail!!
