So yesterday i almost had a heart attack... As you may know there was a big PPR rain yesterday in the october and november threads... nothing happened for me as a december applicant as you may know. I left my job as usual and was driving to church when i received a call from my wife... she was yelling and screaming like crazy that she received an email from our visa office in mexico and that they send me an email too and that she couldnt see what it was... she was nervous... i was driving... the battery on my movil was almost dead... I checked my inbox and there were two mails, one said that i had a new message on my mycic and the other one was the email from my visa office in mexico... my heart stopped...my hands were shaking....i read the messages and.............. both messages were to submit my son's birth certificate ( i had already submitted it when i added him to my application so i do not understand why they are asking for it again).

So that was interesting.... jejejej

Yes. PPR shall request your passport should have at least 2 blank pages each, be valid at least 12 months and non diplomatic pp.

It may be kind of a "message" that PPR comes ...
But ...
I received this kind of letter 2 months ago - it was due to change of BG status from "not started" to "not needed at this time".
Since then no any news

I don't think it was the status change. My BG status has been "In Progress" since forever

passport should be valid at least 6 months.

my PPR said min 12 months from date of submitting pp to CIC, and this is to ensure we can get the pr visa issued with its max validity (med exam result = 12 months)

My AOR Date is 21 Dec 2016 and my Passport expiry date is 18/02/2017..Less than a year..

Shld i apply for a new passport then ?

Yes. I have seen several posts regarding the validity of passport for PPR. It is confirmed that it must be at least one year from PPR.

this requires in the letter to request passport. No link shared but you can see my post above. You should have new or updated passort to ensure the pr visa issued with max validity.
