There is a cic manual on line someplace, about criminal inadmissibilitie, look for it and you might find something relevant there.

Has the verdict been fulfiled? Did your spouse pay the fine/served the time?
Not all criminal issues are cause for inadmissibility

It was a parole sentence 7 yrs ago and Consultant (a friend) advised us that it doesn't make him inadmissible since it 's not criminal offense in Canada. I'm just devastated and empty. They should've done that first. And no one worked on our file since November 03.
