They actually work on holidays.. I saw a job posting for a case processing agent on CIC-careers a month ago and it clearly stated in the description that they work on holidays and there are night shifts as well... so don't lose hope just yet... you could actually get a Xmas present (PPR) ON TIME!

First congrats for your PPR and i really hope you are right but my aunt working with government so she told me that she got holidays till 4 th so may be every gov section have same holiday system but i really wish i prove wrong here ....

Yes what i know of is..
1 (Indian National working in USA)
1(US National)
2 from India

Oh... I was hoping for countries besides those two. Just to get a better sense of what might happen next.
(Not because I mind them. I mean the USA is always special, and India is often faster than the others, so those two countries give me no hint of what's going on.

I have the issue that you are quoting to and got the passport request email yesterday. So, I guess it's again a CIC glitch. Wish you good luck

Thank you sir.. to be honest, the last time i logged into my job bank account was in early September.. i logged in today to check and it said it's inactive... i don't recall de-activating it! Hope that helps...

My job bank is asking me to revalidate too!! But it asks for a couple of numbers I'm not sure where to get...

I'm Outland FSW applicant + spouse + 2 kids from Argentina. BG check not started, hopping things move forward soon.

I received an email asking for my passport from CPCO (Ottawa processing office),but my EE profile still says in process.

Does this mean my PR has been approved ? (or) Does this mean a final decision will be made after receiving my passport?

I m confused because the email I received says , "The processing of your application for permanent residence in Canada is almost complete. You must complete the following steps within 30 days in order for our office to issue your Confirmation of Permanent Residence and, if applicable, permanent residence visa. If for any reason you are not able to meet this deadline, please inform us immediately by email to: CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca with details concerning your situation".

Any help on this will be very helpful....Thank you guys in advance. (FSW applicant, AOR on 22nd August)

I just received my PPR email right now Unexpected but lovely! I want to confirm the next steps. From my understanding I just have to mail my passport with 2 pictures and a pre-paid envelope correct? Should I mail my passport today or wait until new years because of all the holidays coming up? Thanks.

Firstly, congrats on your PPR.

You have to mail your passport with 2 pictures and a pre-paid envelope. Better to mail it as soon as possible.
