Medicals done: 6 August
AOR: 7 August
Medicals passed: 14 August
No ECAS access
Location: Australia

Still no ECAS access, which seems weird because someone clearly touched my application.

Just to clarify: in the ECAS form, I select "Application Number / Case Number" under "Identification Type" and then enter the number from my AOR, which is in the format of E000XXXXXX.

Is that how you guys do it?

Yes.... U need to type in your application number along with your personal details. I too haven't got access to ECAS as yet....i guess its a matter of time now...

I have a question regarding the medical test I have undergone. Mine and my wife's medical test reports (UMI) are starting with U.

In client visa details, it says that IME is EDE and upfront medical type is family-EDE. Can anyone explain me what this means exactly.

It means you reside in a country that is listed under excessive demand exempt (EDE).

EDE clients are those who are exempted from assessment of excessive demand on the Canadian health care system.

However, EDE clients are assessed for:

Danger to public health;
Danger to public safety.


Non-EDE clients are assessed for:

Danger to public health;
Danger to public safety;
Excessive demand on the Canadian health care system.

I'm happy to report that I just received ECAS access. It seems to update after midnight, because on Friday it wasn't available and I'm sure no one is working in the middle of the night at CIC!

So here's my update

I tried to update the Google form but it says I m allowed to view only. I m not allowed to edit by the moderator of page. Plz update my medical pass and ECAS status there. Both happened on 14 August.

I too applied in Aug from outside Canada. Here's my timeline so far :

11/07/15 - ITA
01/08/15 - Submission + AOR
05/08/15 - Medicals Passed
12/08/15 - eCAS Access (2 lines)

Probably it's for the medical and ECAS I got yesterday. It can be both good or bad depending upon what message it brings lol.
It gives me high heart rate always :'(
