FYI I got my medical exam done July 22nd (eMedical) and submitted Aug 4th. Sure they say to get medicals done as close as possibly from submission, but I doubt a couple of weeks influence how long it takes for us to pass medical.
It's frustrating to not be able to guess a pattern.

No change for me today. It's only been 10 days and I can already feel my patience crumbling.

The trend observed in the early days of EE suggested that applicants who had their medicals scheduled within a fortnight of post ITA submission got their Medicals passed early while those who had scheduled their upfront Medicals much earlier waited longer. It was hypothesized that Medicals were falling through the cracks at CIC if there was a longer wait between the reports reaching CIC from the clinic and the application submitted by the applicant. It was also seen that, under EE, Medicals were the first hurdle to be cleared and then the process unfolded at leisure. Finally, as dan_and pointed out quite accurately, Medicals are valid for 1 year from the date of exam and it makes sense to give oneself enough time to plan a landing/flagpoling by scheduling the upfront Medicals quite later in the process.

Hey groundbirch.. i'm a little confused.. your signature indicates that you've already passed your medical exam.. that did you mean by "no change for me today?"

As in "nothing new to report today". There have been changes since I submitted, just not today. I got ECAs access Wednesday but background check is still not started.

Just realized that I had access to ECAS. Not sure exactly when this occurred. Currently got 3 lines, although the date in the third line is off. Can someone explain the significance of ecas access as a milestone and whether or not it is common for incorrect date info please?
