So turns out this is how CIC is escaping doing their work, I call them on their helpline for applicants, they provide a call back service after wait time if you give your phone number which you would think is nice. But its an escape route.. here is how the elaborate scheme goes

1) I get a call back after half hour
2) I am set to music while on that call
3) While on that call they call me again on same number from same number
4) So this puts you in an inevitable catch22 .. do you hold the first call and take the second or don't take the second call ?
5) While you are thinking they drop them both.
6) Incomes the voicemail telling you in a humble tone:: Sorry we tried to reach you but you were not available (hell yeah you were on the other line!!)
I am sharing this here so that everyone is AWARE .. this is the age of information.. everyone talks to everyone.. cheap tricks on innocent applicants looking for information after cashing their cheques ??

Honestly I am getting all the serious vibes of a PONZI scheme! CIC used to be so much better at what they do. Sad for Canada.

It was les than week after you submitted medical results after medical request, wait for another 2-3 weeks if no update call ircc

Sumit4, I am yet to get AOR, I called and was told the officer is working on it. I also sent a Twitter message to IRCC, I was told that all my documentation are intact and don't need to send any docs for now. I am hoping that they will get back to us ASAP.

In my opinion, since they employ more hands and expanding the Case Processing Center in Sydney to concentrate on reuniting families applications to increase capacity will speed up processing times and help us return to the 1-year standard for spousal applications, this might have a multiplier effect on the available staffs are given training to the newly recruited staffs so that they can clear the backlogs.

We can only hope and pray for the best that they will consider our application as soon as possible. I wish they can amend the law to state that the AR date will be counted as towards getting you Citizen status. regardless of when you received your PR application

Yeah I know that basically we have submitted application at same time in August and I got AOR and BIL day after AOR

Mine is inbound, I am the only one here in Canada while my other family are outbound. Hopefully, they will approve and send my AOR soonest bearing in mind I have a Biometric done within the last 5 years

Here is my timeline for anyone who's interested:
- Application received: May 27 2020
- AOR: Dec12th 2020
- Start processing date: Dec 12th 2020
- Medical request: Dec 31st 2020
- Medical received: Jan 17 2021
And still waiting for background check and decision.
