NOC 2172
AOR 22nd April

Doc requested: Schedule A on 08th June and submitted on 13th June.
Called CIC agent on +1 613 944 4000 several times and finally was told by one nice agent that file has been transferred to NDVO on 24th June.
Have sent email to NDVO thrice till date but no response at all.
Hope PPR rain starts soon for us. :) :)

Tru that!! We all are in the same boat bud. There has been compete silence from cic's end for a long time. My BG has not gone into progress even once. I have no idea what they are doing with my application. I am from India too and probably mine is also NDVO. Don't want to order GCMS notes as they"ll take around a month and by that time I"ll already complete 6 months period. Still struggling to comprehend this BG status thing

There's no harm in requesting GCMS is there? wouldn't hurt to get a little insight...

don't be bothered about BG check thingie...its is not an actual indicator of your appl status...

from what I have seen for outland applicants...bg check in progress/RPRF happens a few days before PPR..

NDVO has picked up two weeks back...and they are spewing out PPRs like crazy...I was checking the recent trackers...and I found a lot of applicants from NDVO are getting PPRs around 6 months +/- 1 week time frame...

hang tight brother!

Hi Everyone,

I had received my AOR on 18th April and got my Background Check in Progress for the first time on 28th August.
i am FSW Outland and my GCMS notes suggest my application is in CPC Ottawa VO. can anyone suggest, how much time does it take for background check, usually. :'(
Also, i have read about people with their background check going in Progress for Second Time. Does it happen in the case of Inland or Outland or both? ::)

Regards,
Imran

hi Imran

Ottawa is going by AORs and sticking with the 6 months timeline...was on the march thread to confirm this theory and it is actually true...till Friday last week a person rec'd PPR with AOR Mar/13...

bg check in progress 2nd time happens for both inland and outland- for inland bg check in progress 2nd time is usually earlier than outlands..but since your application is in Ottawa it is not unusual to have your bg check go to in progress earlier than other outland applicants

there is no way to confirm how long security checks take...but from what I have read...should be 4-6 weeks...

hope this helps!

Hi, my BG went in progress for the 2nd time today !! I'm so glad I had send an updated Letter Of employment and Resume last week,
but still wondering about the Officer Review Recommendation by Analyst on my GCMS Note to verify the proof of NOC. Hoping for
the great news :)

Hi All,

My info for spousal sponsorship is as under:
Application Date: March 29, 2016.
Sponsorship Approval: April 21, 2016
AOR from NDVO: May 17, 2016.

My spouse applied for my PR when I was in India. I moved to USA on work visa in April 2016. Do I need to inform NDVO that I have moved to USA. If yes, how?
When I receive PPR request, should I courier my passport to India from USA?
Also, now that I am in USA since April, do I need to provide PCC from USA also?

Please advice. Thanks.
