Hi All,

My info for spousal sponsorship is as under:
Application Date: March 29, 2016.
Sponsorship Approval: April 21, 2016
AOR from NDVO: May 17, 2016.

My spouse applied for my PR when I was in India. I moved to USA on work visa in April 2016. Do I need to inform NDVO that I have moved to USA. If yes, how?
When I receive PPR request, should I courier my passport to India from USA?
Also, now that I am in USA since April, do I need to provide PCC from USA also?

Please advice. Thanks.

not sure if I understand the details correctly...I am assuming your spouse is in Canada and sponsored you while you were in india...is that the case?

assuming your spouse is the principal applicant...he/she is should be able to raise a case specific enquiry to inform CIC of your move (google ircc webform)-that's in regard to 1st question

q 2. Indian consular authorities don't allow you to mail your passport into/out of country.... once your get PPR, they will send you an email requesting your passport...reply to the same email requesting change of visa office to your nearest location and submit passport there

q 3. rule is- if you have lived in a country for more than 6 months...you would need to apply for pcc...you will be crossing the 6 month timeline shortly...fbi pcc's take a fair amount of time to get...I would recommend getting that right away...

hope this helps!

with you & RRK in this thread
I am FSW outland from India.
Eagerly waiting for BG to move to in progress by EOM.

Same here. Looks like NDVO is taking its sweet time. They aren't even adhering to the 6 month timeline anymore. That's what my consultants said. :(

Just received a ghost mail.

Checked the account and saw the much awaited "Second BG in Progress".

I was just starting to get worried since people with much later than 23rd April AOR had already got their BG in Progress for the second time.

Good luck to all :)
