Hello Everyone,

I have been a silent spectator all this time, and because of this forum i have been able to find answers to all my queries. I am running into a situation where i would need some expert opinions from veterans out here.

I am CEC inland candidate, AOR 6th April 2016, medical passed, BG changed to "In-progress" somewhere in June and then back to "Not needed at this time". I am presently on a PGWP which expires on 9th Sept 2016. I got a 18 month PGWP, as my passport was expiring, I got my passport renewed and applied for CEC.

There is something important which requires me to travel outside of Canada on the 6th Oct 2016, I have applied for the remaining PGWP as of 8th July 2016. The blunder in my life is that, I have lost the original PGWP that expires on 9th Sept 2016. I have reported this to RCMP, and CIC has guided the process to apply for a duplicate, which takes a month.

Reading through the forum, i have learnt that CEC inland is almost taking six months. I was wondering if I could do flagpole and get my remaining PGWP and apply for TRV to travel irrespective of the PR result. My main concern is; will I be able to flagpole without my original PGWP, but i have the TRV till 9th Sept 2016.

I am confused and worried at the same time for this situation, it would be really grateful if some one could share some experience or opinion.

Thanks & Regards

As per CIC website cic.gc.ca/english/work/permit/extend/permanent.asp

To qualify, you must have applied under the:

Federal Skilled Worker Program,
Canadian Experience Class,
Federal Skilled Trades Program,
Provincial Nominee Program,
Caring for Children Class, or
Caring for People with High Medical Needs Class.
You must also:

currently be in Canada,
have valid status on a work permit that is due to expire within four months,
have applied for an open work permit, and
have paid the processing fee and the Open Work Permit Holder fee.

1. Can anyone explain how to apply for GCMS.

2. What difference does GCMS make?

Thanks in advance.

Hello House,

Do american passport holders require the visas received with their COPR attached to their passport? Noticed my daughter's passport(American citizen) didn't have a visa placed on it unlike my husband's and I. Is this how its meant to be? She had her COPR though.
