I wonder if it would be good to call them
CHC pretoria does not accept phone calls, the only way to contact them is via email, which they ignore 99% of the time, I still have valid queries from march that are unanswered.

Did u deliver the travel insurance ?? are u still waiting ??

Yeah I delivered it the day after they asked for it, August 7th.
Have not heard anything whatsoever since then.

It is now over 8 months since we started the application process, most of which we have spent waiting on them. It is really starting to drain me.

Tel me about it but they should give whats their fucken problem ???

*Update*

Today the embassy surprised me with a call to my cellphone, they caught me a bit off guard as I am sick at the moment.
Anyway they asked two strange questions and then said they will give the answers tot he officer.
1) "Does you company have somebody to replace you?"
2) "How do you plan on earning money while in Canada?"

The second one especially makes no sense to me as it is now a visitors visa, obviously if I am going as a visitor I don't plan on earning any money while in Canada?
Anyway not really sure what they were looking for here so will just have to hope for the best :(

Re: Anyone in southern africalminsura

am so sorry for you and scared at the same time did u applied for visitor visa already didnot know they put people under such hassle i know they will call people suprisly and all that but whats the problem with them with u they u have proof everything they want ???form travel insurance to everything .in anycase you proof to

in anycase u proof to them u have enough adequate funds so whats the problem anyway there your position in anycase did they ring your company????if they havenot alert them ????from mine they have not asked anything yet just the passport they received on 11 august till now have not heard anything keep figures cross for u i kind of give up i want to asked them to return my passport

1 questions they want to know will u come back ????home thats why they are asking would the company replace u ?????did your company gave a letter of keeping your job while u away
they might ring your company be aware !!!!alert them

2. second question adequacy of funds you have !!!!i dont know how much you provided !! !!the other part is a trick to find your real intention working ???as u know u are a visitor u are not allowed they want to know where u will abide by the law .Crucial point in these in these is am visitor want to spend time with my partner and support her through her studies i dont know what proofof funds u provided i could have advised u better why dontwe exchange number .

They have not contacted my company, they already know to expect any contact though as I have kept them informed on the whole process as it goes along. It is a fairly small company and I am quite important to it so it is easy in this respect.
I had to provide a letter of employment as part of the application for visitors visa, which should already be enough proof that I think.
