Anyone awaiting for FBI PCC and requested for extension?

Hey guys,

I received my ITA last month and have until October 20th to accept it. I submitted my fingerprints to FBI on August 10th and looks like I will receive a reply from them only by end of October.

• Has anyone been successful to receive an extension from CIC for the reason "Waiting for FBI PCC" ?
• Also, is it okay to accept the ITA and then submit the FBI PCC later when I receive it?
• Is rejecting the ITA and hoping for another ITA a safer bet in this case? (My score is 481)

Any help or information on this is appreciated.

Also, is it okay to accept the ITA and then submit the FBI PCC later when I receive it? There is no option to submit docs later on. in some cases they have asked for FBI at a later stage

Hi Swapnil,
As far as I know about FBI PCC, it will take time. For me, I applied in March and got the PCC in July and their website itself says 12 weeks.
Please see the answers to your list of questions according to my knowledge.
1. Don't think CIC will provide the extension for such reason. Your ITA will expires after 60 days.
2. Yes, I would suggest you should accept the ITA and then submit the FBI PCC later date when you receive it. For now (while submitting the EE application) you can attach an affidavit saying that you have applied for FBI PCC on this date and waiting for it. To support the affidavit, also attach the proof of FBI application submitted and also the courier details (if you have it).
3. Its okay in your case because you have the chances of getting ITA again however it will be the same situation if you don't get your PCC within the next 60 days.
