hi mic mic and babies.

u are already in canada, right? did the immigration interview you ulon arrival? if so, what did they ask you?

since im planning to book my flight on 23 together with my common-law partner. can someone give me a briefing, for me to be oriented upon arrival.big thanks in advance
Wow, congrats Jackie, same tayo ng case common-law din kami! Hehehe no need for PDOS, sa immigration sa Cebu hinanapan ako ng OEC kasi Open Work Permit, sinabihan ko lng na wla pa ako work kasi sa border pa i-issue ang Work Permit, be ready with your docs, prinesent ko lng ang POE letter which yun rin ang ipresent mo sa border.

Upon arrival, sabay kayo ng partner mo tapos i-checheck mga docs like LOA, POE letters & TRV, proceed kayo sa cashier if dala kayo ng currency of more or equal to $10K, after sa cashier sa claim ng check-in sa carousel tapos immigration, dun na i-issue mga permits, present same docs, tinanong lng kng ano school, course at sa OWP, ano clase work, sinabi ko lng na anything since OWP! ;)

After ma print ang mga permits, please double check & make sure na tama lahat ng details saka conditions, pg ok na lahat kapag wla kang i-dedeclare sa customs, exit ka na or connect for your domestic flight/s! ☺

Hello! Kindly pm me your facebook since the email you gave is not generating any search result.

Sa point of entry, it's just random questions. Just be confident. Once you sound sketchy, then they will bombard you with series of questions pero all pertaining to your application naman. I've seen some students sent to a different room nung nagkanda buhol buhol na sagot nila. But in general, it was pleasant experience and the people are nice. Goodluck and hope to add you to the group!

My wife also applied june 22 kaso until now wala pa passport request... buti pa kayo :(

yey. thank you for the briefing, it help me alot. same situation pala tayo, it is good to know. I do want to share my experience too with others who did apply. regarding sa pag proceed sa cashier, i do not hold a $10k cash, nasa bank book lang. will i be still in need to proceed to the cashier? since ung iba na cash pinadala ko na sa auntie ko, para pag dating ko jan sa canada sa kanya ko kunin. maybe on hand il just be bringing $2k cash.

dont be sad mine was approximately 7weeks since i pass my passport together with my application it was paper-based. based on my observation, those who apply online was a fast process maybe it was just a bit delayed this time due to people who are applying. dont worry God has perfect timing for everything :) .. wil pray for ur wife's application.

You're welcome. Since hindi mo dala ang cash, no need to declare & no need to proceed sa cashier, in case may dadalhin kang any food, i-declare mo sa customs form pero wag kang mag dala any kind of meat products, in case you smoke or your partner only 1 pack/ream is allowed, more than that i-declare na & taxable pa. In case tatanungin ka how much funds dala mo, sabihin mo ang $2K on hand tapos transfer nlng ang iba pg hinanapan ka ng additional funds at i-ready mo ang bank book pag hiningi.

Babies, magkano kaya mababayaran kapag more than 10k CAD yung dadalhin?

hi newbie po ako dito sa forum and I read all the messages. nakakatuwa kasi may nakakaalis na kagad and yung iba nadedenied. I'm worried and excited dahil nagsubmit na po ako ng docs last july 29. In total po magkano lahat ang magagastos ng student visa at magkano ang pwedeng iprepare na money?

Hi, depende sa program mo?

Yearly tuition anywhere around CAD13-16K, living expenses of 1K a month, plus additional for books/miscellaneous? Be prepared to show around PhP 1.5M - PhP 2M, although ang requirement naman is just 1st year tuition plus CAD 10K for the first year sa embassy

Hello all! Newbie here, naka basa ako ng isang page dito hanggang sa nag back read ako from page 1-300+.

I'm also planning to apply kaso di pa complete yun mga documents ko.
