Anyone applied a Student Permit from Philippines?

Elapar, usually approval mail is sent before passport dispatched but baka naman delayed lang yung approval mail mo. Wait ka muna today. Kung nga yung worst yung nangyari, share mo profile mo and what was stated in your letter baka makatulong kami. What's your course there and your degree and work experience here?

It's been a year!

Hi! It's been a year for me and my family here. So far, everything's working out well. Patapos na ako sa summer job ko sa accounting field. Start na ulit ng sleepless nights for the fall term. Hay Goodluck sa lahat ng nag-aapply and sa mga palipad na dito.

hello ibong adarna!

sprott shaw college downtown vancouver. 1 year program po siya with co-op. I have plans nga po baka magshift ako ng LPN pag nasa vancouver. un nga lang daw po mahirap mgintake kse madaming nakawaiting list. Possible po ba ung plans ko na mgshift kse Licensed nurse and i have no idea kung pano ko sia mapapractice dun at mauupgrade.

Actually pareho tayo ng plano Shimmy. Kaya nag backread ako dito about study permit extension. Nagtanong na ko sa mga schools, matagal pa ang intakes tska maikli din yung program length para sa PN dun sa vancouver/richmond/surrey/burnaby. Di ko pa siguro nakikita yung may 2 years PN program sa BC. Ayaw sana namin lumayo sa centro. Sa ontario marami ako nakita pero plan namin sa BC talaga. Mukhang magiging pang entry nalang natin muna courses natin? Sori ako rin malaking question mark din sakin to, hehe

May mga schools na DLI pero sila mismo nagsabi na hindi eligible yung course nila na PN for PGWP. Yung vancouver career college yun agad ang sinabi nya sakin kahit 75 weeks na yun.

Hi po sa mga seniors na nandun na sa canada, any updated info about study permit extension? May mga kakilala na po ba kayo dyan na after their 1st course, nag take ulit sila ng 2nd course para lang ma extend ang stay nila? Salamat po sa magrereply ;D

^^ shimmy, check your course and make sure it is PGWP eligible, may mga cases sa Sprott Shaw na hindi eligible yung course. Check lang talaga kasi sayang yung gagastusin nating malaking pera tapos pala yun ang mangyayari.

Ibong_Adarna, maraming nagtatanong dito diyan (if you search) at walang definite answer. Merong sabing pwede daw pero yung general rule kasi is you only get a PGWP and that is for the last course you studied. So 1 year + 1 year could lead to only 1 year PGWP based on the last course you studied. Sabi din ng iba depende na daw yan sa VO sa pag-evaluate sa course. Or it's possible daw if you combine 1 PG course + 1 Masteral course. So, I cannot give you definitive advice and I haven't seen anyone here who has posted that they were able to get a 3 year PGWP for doing that. Being a segurista, I would not bet on such odds I could be wrong though.

Tama ka po Scorpio Kaya di ako makapag lodge kaagad ng application ko dahil dyan kasi napapaisip talaga ko. Another idea, if ever hindi ako mabigyan ng PGWP dito sa 1st course ko, baka dun na ko humanap ng 2 year course for the 3 year PGWP after graduating. Mapipilitan ako mag extend ng SP ko o kaya maghanap ng permanent employment. Sobrang tagal kasi ng waiting list dun sa school na gusto ko enrollan.

Ang nakakapagtaka din po, bakit kaya hindi consistent ang pagbigay nila ng PGWP kahit na over 8 months ang course tapos DLI accredited naman pero hindi publicly funded ang school. Sana magbigay ng list ang CIC kung ano yung mga courses and schools na mag ggrant ng PGWP kasi nagkakalituhan na rin kahit sa ibang thread about dito

Hi Elapar, paper-based ka siguro kasi I have no idea sa passport dispatched from vfs...online kasi kami. Yes, PPR means passport request...based sa forum dito, pag-PPR na, they have decided na approve na yong application then visa and LOI na ata...please correct me, scorpio?

We applied na very limited yong funds namin and wala kaming sponsor..lahat ng asset namin dito naka-mortagage pa. Dininig talaga ng God yung prayers namin kasi returned docs kami sa quebec skilled worker. God is so good. Prayers talaga will help you...very stressful talaga yong 25 days application period.

Di ko alam anong magandang courier since paper-based ako, pero 2Go ang nagdeliver ng passport ko from VFS so I guess okay sila.

Congrats venice! buti pa kayo ni missis! My wife and baby will be on their 8th week this Friday since they lodged their application. Ang bilis ng medical passed nila. Only took them less than 3 weeks tapos sabay tagal sa passport request Anyways, message me your email account used on social media so I can add you up.
