Oh, I was under the impression na once may medical request, tapos na sila sa processing ng application. I guess I just got excited with this statement from the med request letter: "These medical instructions are being issued since your application has been processed to the stage
where medical examination results are now required." ;D I wonder what did they "process" before they ask for the medicals ;D

It's a good thing that medicals are valid for a year, mas mabilis na mag-re-apply :)

I just got an email from VFS na andun na daw passport namin for pick-up sa VFS office.
So anong ibig sabihin nun? E diba malamang denied un. Kasi hindi naman nila i-aapprove appli namin w/o waiting for the result of our med exams.
Thanks to all.

Actually, even before kami nag file, I know na malaki chance ko marefuse. Unang una, ung work ko since I graduated is not in line with the degree I finished. Hay, these are just some of the few reasons na naisip kong pwedeng naging dahilan ng refusal namin.
I will share to all of you the reason for refusal once makuha ng hubby ko sa VFS ung passport and docs namin.

Hi everyone!

For those who applied online, were you required to submit an NBI clearance? I just got news today that my application was rejected simply because of the lack of NBI clearance. However, there wasn't any on my online checklist. My sister, who is studied in Canada as well, also didn't have to submit her NBI clearance but was approved. :(

Did you submit your application online as well? If so, where did you attach/upload it?

You may include it in your Letter of Explanation. :)

Hi suakerock! I'm sorry to hear about the refusal. I submitted my NBI Clearance together with my SOP. It's not included in the checklist but after reading some posts here in the forum that there are people rejected just because they didn't submit NBI clearance that I decided to submit mine along with my application. I suggest you reapply again, attach your NBI Clearance and state in your SOP the reason why you were refused a study permit the first time you applied and the measures you took to correct it.

Guys, as expected, our appli was indeed refused.
Eto ung reasons:
You have not satisfied me that you would leave canada at the end of your stay. In reaching this decision, I considered several factors:
•Length of proposed stay
•Purpose of visit
•Limited employment prospects in your country of residence
•Personal assets and financial status

That's just sad, AAM. But don't loose hope, you can still reapply.

As for this: Limited employment prospects in your country of residence. May I know what is the program/course you applied for?

I applied for Early Childhood Care Education

I see. Thanks for sharing your profile AAM. When you reapply make a stronger SOP nalang siguro.

ahhh, sounds like course mismatch and your hubby's pending PR application nga ang concern ng VO.
Will it take long pa ba before your hubby's PR application is granted? I remember you said your husband applied for an OWP. Baka it might be wiser to wait for the results of that?

I applied via paper. I included my NBI clearance, pero nung una lampas na sa three months prior to my application when I requested it. The VFS Cebu staff really advised me to go back and get a recent one, because nasa checklist NILA. Which is weird, because you don't see the validity date requirement in any of the checklists online.

It's just strange they refused you directly, without asking for additional documents. But there was a similar case here to yours, they just reapplied, na-approve naman. Meron din ibang case hindi ni-refuse, pero she got an "additional documents" request. Hindi consistent.

Apply ka ulit, with your NBI clearance. You can still make it in time for September!
