Anyone applied a Student Permit from Philippines?

I don't think that it's going to be a problem. All you need to do is convince the VO that you are a genuine student and that after you graduate you will leave Canada.

You need to show money that could cover 1 year tuition plus cost of living for 1 year (10k CAD for the principal applicant which is you plus 4k CAD for the dependent which is your husband).

And my regarding my husband can he come with me and get a open work permit if ever he decided afterwards to work in canada?

And regarding the supporting documents. My father in law will be supporting me to study abroad.

Yes, your husband may come with you. But that's the decision of the VO. Don't forget to add 4K CAD for your husband's living expenses plus expenses for your plane tickets.

Can I ask another question? I have read a forum here that she and her husband got denied because the VO think that his husband does not meet the requirement of the embassy regarding his stay or vist.

- can my husband apply for an open work visa while I was applying for a student visa??
Or
-he can just accompany me and later apply for a student visa? I was wondering because he needs to do something also while staying there.

Friends, I've just submitted my application. Waaaahhhhhhh!!!!!! ;D

Just realized that I was emailed an offer letter on Christmas and now I'm submitting my application sa araw ng pasko ng pagkabuhay. I hope that our prayers will be answered soon. I'm aiming to be there by August for my cousin's wedding.

Balitaan m kmi kung pano mo dineclare yan s pinas, japan at canada...i'm plannin to open sn BMO before travelling kso ang hassle ng docs nila...kelangan pang signed ng atty na hindin member ng notarial public...kung hsbc namn super laki ng initial deposit. Tpos wla nman scotiabank d2 unlike s pinas. American express travllers cheque sn kso wl nman mabilhan d2 s uae. Any suggestions guys pano ko dadalhin ung cash na pinag ipunan ko...

CIC recommends couples to apply together - in your case study permit for you and open work permit for your husband.

kinonek ko lang ang nature of job ko from being a current accountant with my previous work as business analyst sa isang govt agency plus my degree sa Math. Then sabi ko babalik ako s pinas to look for a managerial position which sa tingin ko yung PGD ko will help me be hired. Tapos sinabi ko na I have gone to USA and Canada, I am considering both of these countries na mag-aral since may mga brothers ako na to stay with.

Yung kukunin kong program ay Music Industry Arts, wherein after I graduate from that program I will become a sound engineer. Do you think there's a good chance of approval for my SP?

@Floje, ni-review ko pala requirements ng OWP ni misis. Bakit nga pala sila humihingi ng returning ticket?

@scorpio, nakakuha si misis ng voluntary service approval sa Ontario Development Agency pero nasa Ottawa then sa Toronto ang Centennial. That's 5 hours by train ang kalayo. Unsa ka ha ang take ani sa VO?

I'm sorry but I have no idea about OWP Venice. Some forumers here were approved with study permit and OWP for their spouses. I just forgot their names. If you have time backreading, naa sila diri nga forum.
