Anyone applied a Student Permit from Philippines?

hello everyone,

nakakatuwa and inspiring yung forum na ito sa mga aspiring students going to canada. I almost back read yung mga post and planning to apply student visa soon.


I hope anyone can help me and answer my question or sort of advice po.

1) i'm about to apply student visa for myself and my girlfriend (common law partner). question lang po. ano po ba yung iapply ko OWP and TRV separate forms po ba yun? nalilito lang po ako kung dapat ba sabay or isa lang ang need iapply for her? Please po paki clear sa akin ito.

2) advisable po ba na Magtake muna ko ng IELTS before sending email sa mga schools na gusto ko? Meron akong nabasa dito na accepted sila sa school then to follow na lang yung IELTS result? iniicip ko po kase na mas easy to search schools and apply then after nlng yung IELTS.

3) Father ko po yung mag ssponsor ng finances namen since idea nya na pag aralin ako uli after studying last 2008 sa UST BS COMMERCE; so ittransfer lang yung proof of funds nya sa akin this week for 10k Cad and 4k girlfriend ko (common law partner) then the rest bank funds and assets ng father ko. tanong lang po, massatisfy po ba kaya ang VO sa application ng partner ko knowing na mag ssupport halos is yung father ko? need din po ba ng statutory union form for us aside from OWP and TWP?

Congrats! When we applied for student/owp we already have an existing TRV (multiple), but they gave us work visa for my spouse, while I and my daughter student visa (she's 6yo). frustratedcanadian is right, you should have submitted the owp form together with the trv same w/ your daughter (as student). In my case I didn't fill up TRV form kase may existing na kame.
Well, definitely not SLEC global, heheh it took almost a month before they forwarded our results. But I guess it depends kase we applied as family kaya siguro matagal.

Thank u. yun agent sabi nya pagdating na daw sa Canada mag apply ng work permit for my husband. meron bang may idea if how long it will take to apply OWP upon arrival?

Just an update. All Praises and Glory to God!!! so happy, we got our visas already me- student, daughter-TRV and husband TRV. yung husband mo frustrated canadian and DBC TRV din ba na multiple? dba automatic nmn ngayon for open work permit?

Hello guys! Ask ko lang po in filling up IMM1294E, Sections 4&5 of Details of Intended Study in Canada, what should I put in "OTHER" atsaka in "FUNDS AVAILABLE FOR MY STAY." I would like to clarify if I should indicate here the Personal Expenses I will, in estimate, incur during the total years of stay? Tama ba? In which section ko mailalagay ang total money ko(& since I have my family member who gave affidavit of support)? Meron ba nun? Please help, so confused.. :'(

Kakayanin po ba kaya kung mga 2nd week of July ako makapag-apply? Hanggang kelan po ba pwede mag-submit ng visa application for Sept intake?

did you submit application for TRV? I also have a multi-visa and I dont know if I need to submit the TRV application as it was also one of the requirement in online application.

I did not fill out the trv form, just submitted the “Application form for a Study Permit” (IMM1294) and Completed “Family Information” form (IMM5465). Just include the scanned copy of your visa.

It is recommended to submit the application 2 months before the intended departure date. So if it's first week of July, Puede pa go for online application, it is much quicker...good luck!!!

Btw saan po pala based in your experiences, ang best medical facility to have medicals? Im trying to have advance medical to avoid delay sana. Thanks.
