Anyone applied a Student Permit from Philippines?

@ iamvenus Congrats po! Hehe.. Tanong ko lang po, paper based ba yung pag-apply niyo? Online kasi po ako nag-apply nung April 11..nakatanggap na po ako ng email kanina lang for passport request kaya lang di nalagay kung approved or hindi.

Yes, I applied paper-based through VFS Makati. I am not sure sa online kasi eh.. I included my passport when I submitted the requirements. Baka ok na yung visa mo. =) Ito na yata yung Letter of Introduction I have to show sa POE. Maybe you'll get an email when they receive your passport.

@iamvenus Ahh kaya pala alam mo na agad kung approved ka. Sa akin kasi online. Kaya nirerequest pa lang nila. Sana nga approved din ung akin. Saan ka po ba mag-aaral? Sa Niagara College ako eh.

I believe this means your visa is already approved.

Hi im a newbie in ths forum. I applied for student visa with my husband and daughter as my dependent but there's a little problem, hepa c result of my hubby is reactive but his SGPT iS w/in normal range. Does anyone here know if I still have hope for our visa be granted? Help feeling worried and experiencing sleepless nyts. Thank u

Hello @hopeful83! The experts here will find time to answer to ur spcific case(medical results na kc i2ng concern mo).But we'll pray for you&we continue to hope..you are almost there! Ask ko lang if you included in your SOP the reason why your husband & daughter is coming with you or your husband provided his own statement of purpose or both of your SOPs mentioned about it? And ask ko na din po what other documents your dependents included in your app package? Thanks a lot!

I am positive to agree that you got approved already. Wow, it is really inspiring here! Sana we all get approved(though I am still preparing for our application, hehe)!

Bale ang ginawa ko po kasi, nauna nko nagpamedical even before pa ako nag-apply. Pwede naman po eh. Kasi ayoko na ung medicals ko pa ang mag-cause ng delay. Hehe.. Sa awa ng Diyos, before mag 4 weeks napadala din ng SLEC ang result before mag-1month! Nakaabot talaga in time.

hi guys,. just wanna share our experience also, we are from Baguio,. paper-based ung application namin, we did not go through any agency or consultancy(waste of money).. Actualy, when we found this furom that's when we started having interest in going to canada. So ayun, what we did is nagback read kmi sa almost lahat ng mga replies dto ( Re: Anyone applied a Student Permit from Philippines? ) until naging klaro ang lahat kung ano ang mga importante sa application, mga crucial parts, and mga diskarte na rin. Then we came up with a complete application, we submitted then after 4 motnhs we got the visa, medyo natagalan kasi maraming kapalpakan ung clinic where we did our medical exam.

Which clinic po sa Baguio are you mentioning? Please share with us your experience(worried because if requested for medicals, planning to opt for Baguio clinics which are nearer than in Manila).

. Thank u Torque78. Yes, my SOp mentioned about my companions and yes we provided proof of income/bank deposits more than enough to finance our 2yr stay(cost of living,tuition,etc). Docs submitted is only their Birth cert, marriage cert and application forms each. I applied with enhance visa here in Cebu, enrolled with Acsenda School of managemnt in Vancouver. Yes, I am still hoping, in God's perfect time.

Hi may I know when did you get your medical exam done? Are you applying with your family?

SLEC told me that they forwarded the results last May 2, 2014. Im applying for a student visa also and i'm going there alone but i'm going to stay with my relatives there and the embassy already verified my application with them. Until now, no feedback yet from the Embassy

Hello everyone! Ask ko lng ko if mas ok sa canada n lng mag apply ng student work permit or together sa student permit? Kasi dun sa form ng student work permit (online) automatic nakalagay sa country of residence is canada. My course is hospitality management with coop kasi so essential sa kin ang work permit din. Though meron akong nabasa dito sa forum na pwede din sa pagdating n lng sa canada mag apply ng student work permit. Any suggestions? Thanks..

Hello guys! Another update. =) I now have my passport!!! I was out with my family tonight and when we got home, it was already waiting for me on our table. Flying to Vancouver on May 19. Agad2!!! Hahahahahaha! I hope you'll get your visas soon guys! Have faith! =)

Hi,

I'm a student in Manitoba. I have applied for a temporary resident visa (re-entry visa) in order to go back home briefly for family purposes and to renew my passport, so I can renew my study permit. My passport expires on june 30th and my study permit expires the same day because of that. I have applied for a TRV and I added a letter of explanation that included my status letter from my university and my transcript.

I applied on the 23rd of APril, 2014, on May 16th the cic page said they are working on Applications from April 30th 2014 but I haven't gotten a reply. I called a call centre agent who told me my application was sent to Los Angeles VAC. PLease what does this mean?

ok lang po na magpamedical muna?? applicable din pala sating mga Pinoy 'to... kc may kilala me Indian sabi nila required na magpamedical sila before submitting their applications... kaya mas mabilis ung visa processing nila...
by the way, san ka po nagpamedical?
plan ko po kc magapplt ng student permit this June... thanks a lot... =)
