I'm not an expert here, but for those who will about to process their application via vfs office or online application, I suggest that you should read threads as much as you can. This forum is very informative. A lot of information and actual experiences where written here.

I'm planning to have my Medical Exam within this week and I hope CIC will approve my application. Good luck to everyone of us and Congrats for those who got their SPs.

just want to inquire regarding university requirements...

is the original copy of college TOR and a a diploma enough for admission? or should the high school diploma be included in the application?

As per Red River College website
- official transcript or certificates (original or certified copies) indicating your academic standing and language proficiency. All documents must be in English or have certified translations attached.

What is his real purpose ba? Because if you are applying for SP then he can apply for open work permit. If he is issued work permit, I think automatic na yun na may TRV sya.

Ah ok..thank you author=frustratedcanadian. I get really confused with the process sometimes..I was worried TRV issuance might be separate..Did you apply online?

Gaaaaahhh. I called vfs today iamvenus. Turns out my agency advised me of a wrong student visa fee. I had to draft another one today. Kaya pala its already days and no response yet. Well in the case of vfs, couldnt they email me that my application has a deficiency?

Oh my.. Seriously? If I was in your place, I'd probably lose my temper. Hahaha! They could've just told you that they can't process your application because of the incorrect visa fee. They have your contact number and email anyway. But I don't know the policies of VFS regarding that, though. Did you also call your agency about the misinformation? Buti nalang tumawag ka talaga. Paano nalang kung hinintay mo. Sige lang, may reason yan kung bakit nangyari yan sa iyo. You'll realize it soon. =)

Yay....! what a waste of time... Vfs will only email you if you availed that additional service (well, that's what I know).

Hi guys, I have a quick question for those who have already gone through the process of getting the student visa.
As I understand, you need to submit your passport with all your documents for application. Just wanted to know at what step during the process do you get it back?

This is because I have already planned a trip to Korea in October this year and I need my passport. I am planning to send in my student permit application by July - do I have enough time to get it back before October? If not, I might just have to skip the trip?

Try online application if you plan to go out of country, in this way you are not required to submit your passport not until you receive a notification/passport request from CEM...

Iamvenus and dbc. I havent talked to my agent yet. Cant be reached cya. I called her several times kasi i know may kasabay akong 3 na nagapply din ng sv. Pareparehas kameng walang natanggap na email. Para sana makapagprocess na din sila. Anyway i paid 1141 ata para sa vfs. Is that already complete, ? Yeah i know everything happens for a reason. Hehe i trust Him.
