Anyone applied a Student Permit from Philippines?

Yeah, I really have to come up with a strong and convincing SOP. Hoping to receive my Caips notes after a month so I still have enough time to prepare for my SOP and other necessary documents.

Did you apply again? Or you got approved the first time?

Right now I'm still awaiting my decision letter from the university before I lodge my study permit application via SDS. BTW this is the first time I'm applying for the study permit.

Help po. Anong branch po ng BDO and tried and tested na po for GIC wire transfer? Metro Manila area po sana.

I’m from Ilocos Norte po, pero tinatanong kasi nila kung bakit daw po address ko dito sa Pinas ang ilalagay ko sa Beneficiary’s Address, sa Field59 po. Naka-print po ‘yong ni-send ng Scotia na info pero ayaw pa din po kasi baka ma-reject lang daw po sa head nila.

Pinapabalik po ako pero dapat daw po may proof or explanation po ako na address ko talaga dito sa Pinas ang magagamit, and kung may mga successful na daw po bang gumawa nun at anong branches daw po ng BDO.

Help naman po sa mga nakapag-successful wire transfer na through BDO po.

As long as you already have a BDO Dollar account everything should be fine. I did mine through CIBC after reading through other forums that this bank is better and easier.
In my experience, all line items in the bank's form have corresponding Field #s that can be found in the printed form from the Canadian banks.
Use the Canadian Bank's address for Field59. We got corrected on this kasi, we also thought to use our personal information but no pala, it has to be the bank were the payment is intended for.

Be careful with Scotia, according to other forums I read and base on my friend's experience also, they are very strict with every letter and word. For a minor error, they will automatically reject your application.

As long as you already have a BDO Dollar account everything should be fine. I did mine through CIBC after reading through other forums that this bank is better and easier.

Yes po approved na and nasa Canada na po ako ngayon for September intake.

If you have not yet made payments with Scotia, that’s fine, the system will just cancel the transaction after a certain period.

What’s great about CIBC also is that we received the confirmation and GIC within 3-5days. No hassle, you can even contact them for assistance if you want.

Sa BPI po kasi kailangan pang maghintay ng 6 months after ka mag-open ng account before ka po makapag-wire transfer.

Okay I see... In my case kasi, less than a week pa lang akong nakapag open ng account, nakapag wire transfer nako...

Ano na po status ng eligibility mo? It won't change po kasi until the final decision has been made. Usually, yung medical lang po yung nag-uupdate to "medical passed." Other categories will update once they made the decision.

In my case po, when I got the request letter, same day nagpasa din po ako. The next day, decision made na po kami.
