Anyone applied a Student Permit from Philippines?

ok lang po kahit regular stream at mag gic. isa po kasi yan sa proof of financial capacity. pwede po mahigit sa cad10k ang gic. kakagaling ko lang po scotiabank at sobrang asikaso po nung nag assist sakin. may debit card na ako at nakapag open na din po ako ng savings account ko. nakapag apply na din po ako ng credit card pero mga 2 to 3 weeks pa daw bago ma deliver yung card. pero yung debit card ay activated na agad pag labas ko ng scotia bank.

initially, cad2k ang na release sakin, at every month ay may cad670 ako for 12months (10k lang po yung gic ko)

Under regular stream po ba kayo or sds? 10k ang gic nyo kahit kasama nyo po family nyo?

We’re applying for study permit my husband will study there and I’ll come with him. His course will take for 2years.

The question is, they’re asking me for documents saying “Purpose of Travel-Others”.

Example of what can I provide are:

• Your flight ticket departing Canada;
• Your travel itenerary (e.g. places you will stay or visit, such as hotel or booking)
• Proof of medical appointment.

I don’t know what to provide them if I’ll be staying there until my husband finished his course. In my knowledge they will issue open work permit for me. But why are they asking for that documents? What documents can I provide them? I hope someone can help me. Salamat po!

alam ko po, ieexplain nyo, bakit canada ang napili nyong destination for his studies. kailangan nyo ring sabihin ang employment prospects nyo dito sa pilipinas. basically, kailangan nyong i-convince ang visa officer na pag tapos mag aral ni mister, o pag nag expire na ang visa, ay babalik kayo dito sa pilipinas at hindi mag over sttay

First application

Aug 3 2018 - Lodge my application at vfs makati

Aug 7 2018 - Request for medical

Aug 21 2018 - Medical done

Aug 31 2018 - Refused


Sept 19 2018 - Requested for caips notes

Oct 19 2018 - dumating ang caips


99% ang hindi naniwala sa pangarap kong to, pero nanindigan ako sa natitirang 1%.


Second Application

Nov 14 - Lodged my application at vfs makati

Nov 15 - Linked my application to gckey

Dec 3 - passed the medical

Dec 10 - 7:47 am PH time - Approved.


Mga katakatok takot na realisation after ko magsubmit.

• 5 months old na ang NBI clearance ko. Nakakaloka.
• May mali akong natick sa application ko.
• Saktong 3pm, cutoff ng vfs, ako ang huling nagsubmit ng application ko. Pawisan ako pagdating ko taas bes.

Lakas ng loob, dasal, mas marami pang dasal. Tiwala sa sarili at higit sa lahat, wag susuko.


Maraming maraming salamat po sa group na ito, sa mga co-ELCC sa iba’t ibang school na napagtanungan ko, kinulit ko ng bongga at sa Team Alberta salamat po.

Bali po open work permit po aq. Inaral ko po kasi ung website nila ako po sana mismo magaaus ng papers namin di na po ako kukuha po ng agency para po magassist po smin. Magonline po aq ng pasa ng docs po namin. Bali po magkasabay ko po nilodge ung application po namin sia po ung primary tapos po inattach po nia ko dun sa application nia. Tapos po ung sa part ko po ung humihingi ng purpose of travel po. Nabasa ko po ung sinend nio skin kaya lang po png tourist visa din po un. Ano po kaya iproprovide ko dun sa akin po?

Pwede po ba galawin yung money sa bank account, like mag withdraw? or bawal galawin hanggat di tapos ang pag review ng application ko? ccheck ba nila sa bank yun? Parang iwwithdraw kase ata ng sponsor ko (Tita ko) yung money sa bank nya this December eh

Wag po muna, hanggang di pa po nache check ng embassy. Yung sa wife ko po hindi naman daw tumawag yung embassy sa bank, pero di rin po kasi kami sure kung di nga po tumawag. To be safe po saka na lang sana galawin yung pera

I have the same question but only for visitors visa.. So you don't actually need to buy the tickets right away but instead write a letter stating the purpose of visit?
