Hey all!

Ugh, working the GY shift makes the days blurry!

Anyway, I got my IELTS (IDP) score a few days ago. Overall band of 7.5! Listening 8, Reading and Speaking, 7.5, pinaka-olats is Writing, 6.

I was more nervous about my speaking (yung Briton na pokerface na mejo intimidating at rude) and reading than the others. I was very confident with the writing portion pero yun ang pinaka-mababa ko. Although I think I deserve a higher score. I don't wanna go for a remark na, baka mabawasan pa yung ibang scores HAHA.

Anywayyy, having this score makes me eligible for most of the public colleges, so I'm pretty happy about that.

Now comes the college application part... by the way, kailangan pa kagad ng TOR and diploma to take the entrance exam? I graduated last 2012 from College lol pero hindi ko pa kinukuha yung TOR and diploma ko dahil I got too busy and kinda lazy.

Congrats gimikera! I wish my scores will serve as a good birthday gift to my dad on his birthday ten days from now but I'm really not that confident with my composition ii the writing part of the test ;D Regarding your late night shifts, think of it as training to avoid jetlag when you land in Canada. I have problems sleeping but when we were in Canada, my body clock was synchronized perfectly

I think your application will be smooth since you recently graduated and have already some work experience. In my case, I'm already 31 so I'm not sure if they will take that against me but I think I can justify my reasons when I present my study plan (hopefully) I already emailed my professors today and I'm very anxious to hear from them. If they don't reply, then I'll just pay them a surprise visit. Kung hindi lag mahirap parking andun nako kanina ;D

Regarding your application, I think most colleges just require your TOR/Diploma. Did they tell you that you still need to take an entrance exam? If you don't mind, can you share which college you are applying for? In Humber and Sheridan for example, they just told me that I need the IELTS and my TOR.

First, congrats on your IELTS result - you did good and yes this score makes you qualify for most if not all colleges.

About sa TOR and diploma, as far as I know most institutions that you will apply for will be needing this, ito kase yun mga requirements nila in order for them to assess your application plus the IELTs. And as far as I know there is no entrance exam for most, sa Masters though would require a letter of introduction, recommendations letter and resume. It's better to check the admission requirements of the specific institution that you will be applying for.

Congrats on your IELTS!

Yep it's very rare to have an extrance exam, usually its skills asessment for math or english, or GRE or GMAT for post-grad studies. Especially na may bachelor's ka na, they'll just ask for your TOR. But some colleges are strict about presenting HS docs. I had to send in my Form 137 and Diploma hahaha

Hello Hopefulgir08, welcome to the forum ;D. Yes, you need to provide a police clearance from each countries that you live for more than 6 months.

You're welcome . I think you should be fine na, once you provided what they ask for and since they already sent a medical request. There's a couple of people here na na sent back yun application nila because of the police clearance both local and or overseas.

Well, I still don't have word from my professors that they will back me up on my masters application Waaaaaahhhh this week will be really something - IELTS results, passport renewal, sending my application to Humber and Ryerson.. waaaahhhh!!!!
