My husband just sent his passport in last week. We used UPS (by Las Americas Airport)! They were extremely knowledgeable and knew exactly what to do. My husband didn't need account, if he did they created it on the spot. He will pay for the return package upon arrival. I would recommend that company and location to anyone. The passport left Friday at 12 and was at the embassy in Mexico on Monday at 1pm.

PS THIS HAS BEEN THE LONGEST WAIT OF ALL!!!!!! Knowing that you are approved but you can't make any plans until the passport is in hands.

thank you for responding

i'm going to go to Fedex in santa Domingo

but i am aware of that location you went to UPS.. i drove pass it once..

i'll be sending my file off friday afternoon

you are right

it's a good feeling knowing your almost done
and you can be with your other love soon

but the feeling will hit more
when they have the passport back in there hand

morning everyone

Could someone please tell me what the average wait time is from the time your application has been sent to Mexico to the time that Mexico lets you know that they have received your package. I have been waiting almost 3 months since my app was sent to Mexico. Is this normal? Not panicking, just curious. thanks

Once you receive SA, your file will be sent off to Mexico! (which in your case, I'm assuming it has been) It usually takes about 1 to two weeks to receive AOR2 (AOR2 = Visa Office (Mexico) notifying you they have received your file)! But some visa offices don't send out AOR2! So rest assured your file is in Mexico, but you can always call or email CIC to double check if you want reassurance it is there. Also of note, Mexico is known to send out AOR2 months after receiving files, if at all!

My SA was approved June 1st, I didn't get an AOR2 until late December so thats about 6 months. Some people who applied after me got the AOR2 before me. It's different from application to application. You could expect to hear within a month to a few months.

like LaLa320 said, it's probably in Mexico.

At the Fedex office in Manzanillo, Mexico we were able to prepay the return waybill at the same time that we sent my wife's passport in to the Visa office. We DID NOT have to set up an account with Fedex.

Hope that helps you a little bit.

Congratulations!

Tanks for the answer, for example we sent a email letin then know about some changes in our adress information,
and the answer was that they havent received our file yet, so i dont understand if we got the SA early december,
