Any TRV applications within Canada??

Hi guys,

Has anyone applied for a trv recently?? I applied paper based to Ottawa oct 30 and I still hav not received my passport back.. It's way passed the regular timelines as per the website.. I checked my return tracking and nothing is active yet... I need to travel in 2 weeks and I need my passport.. Any suggestions!? Anyone on the same boat??

If someone got their passport back can u tell me your timelines?!

I applied for a TRV online on 29th October. They asked for my passport just 2 days back. I tracked and it shows that it has been received there but the return tracker hasn't activated yet.

Why didn't you apply online? Paper application has a different timeline than online.
So I guess, the only thing you need to do is wait ...

Paper and Online has the same waiting period.

I applied for my TRV extension on 25th Nov (Paper Based).
Still waiting...

Paper and Online has the same waiting period.

They have the same waiting time, you are right. I applied online on the 29th of October and on 25th November they requested my passport to be sent, so hopefully it shouldn't take long now but you never know with CIC.

I applied for TRV on Nov 10th online after I received my BOWP.

They requested for passport on Nov 14th.

Mailed passport and it received Ottawa on Nov 20th.

Attached a letter stating I had plans o travel abroad for Christmas.

Waiting for the passport since then.

So looks like everyone is waiting.. Wow.. What is goin on with cic?? I already bought my ticket to go back home and I need my passport back before 16th.. I'm so stressed.. Please keep us all posted as soon as anyone gets it ok?? Thanks guys!!

if its been 14 days since they receive the passport and the return tracker has not been activated, you can contact cic.

they are processing all applications after 7th nov as per cic website.

But if you call the call centre they say we don't have information on TRV as the Ottawa office handles it. And email idk if they ever reply?

The call centre doesn't have info on TRVs. Where do you say I should call?
