Hello Brian,

I am presently an international student in Canada, I'll be completing my masters by Dec., 2015. I've got my ECA done, IELTS (L7.5, R7.5, W7.5, S7.0) and have between 4 to 5 yrs working experience from my country of origin (Nigeria). I wish to apply for the Express Entry program and I've also completed the online eligibility and got a "personal reference code".

However, will you advise me to go ahead and apply now or should I wait to complete my master's program before applying? Also, if I apply now, will I be able to edit my application at a later date after submission (say, I get my master's degree, will I be able to add it to my application later)?

Thanks, hope to hear from you soon. Plus I'm new to this forum. Thanks.

Hey guys what are the chances of getting PR under NOC 6211, in express entry.
I understand that CIC had a list before in which Retail sales supervisors were removed. My score is 440. If I get ITA, will they reject or still consider ?¿ what do you guys think.
Express Entry is open to all occupations as long as the skilly type is 0, A or B. This is the big difference to the old FSWP with its limitations to certain NOC. NOC 6211 seems to be B, that works. If you get an ITA everything is fine.

Hoe, I got it right...

Can anyone please tell me that while creating express entry profile what should be selected in the 'field of study' option? I have done Bachelors of technology in Computer Science and Technology. The closest option I can see is Computing/Information Technology

"How will I know where to get my Educational Credential Assessment (ECA)?

Three of the designated organizations can assess any foreign educational credential:
Comparative Education Service: University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies,
International Credential Assessment Service of Canada, and
World Education Services.
Most people will be able to choose one of those three to do their ECA.

But, if your primary occupation is

specialist physician (2011 NOC code 3111), or
general practitioner/family physician (2011 NOC code 3112),
you must get your credentials assessed by the Medical Council of Canada.

And, if you are a pharmacist (NOC code 3131), you must get your credentials assessed by the Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada (professional body for Pharmacists)."
Source: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?q=681&t=6

An ECA is a mandatory document, and CIC only accepts it from the designated organizations listed above. Good luck!!!!

My CRS score is 348

Hi

My CRS score is 348. I do not have neither a valid job offer nor a provinicial nomination at this moment.

Please suggest, whether PNP is required or 348 is enough to get ITA?

Thanks

PNP is not a requirement for EE eligibility, however, you would be awarded an additional 600 points, which would almost certainly guarantee you an ITA in the next draw. Only certain CIC officials can answer your other question factually, everyone here is only speculating.

All the best!!!!

Hi,

Can someone help me here to fill my EE profile? I have created somehow 10 to 15 profiles and all have turned out to be ineligible. It looks very strange as earlier before creating the profile, we need to run the "Come to Canada Wizard" tool and it says eligible to apply under Express entry. But when i create the profile, it shows that I have not met the eligibility requirements to apply under EE. I have CRS rating of around 378 points, but I have got bit frustated in creating all those profiles and at last to see them ineligible.

Age - 26
IELTS - L8, R7,S7, W6
Education - Bachelors degree (four years)
Work experience - 5 years under NOC 2171
Funds - 13000$ CAD

I am not sure where my mistake in creating the profile and it turns out to be not eligible. Pls someone help me here as I am very much desperate on this.

Thanks,
Prasanna

Hi,

I just came across the Canada Express Entry system and I am looking forward to applying for immigration under this program. I have done some reading online; however, I have some questions and I thought I can seek help from this forum. Following are my questions:

1. My total work experience is ~14 years in IT. My full time qualification is 3 Year Polytechnic Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering (10+3) and I have been working since then. I then completed a Distance Learning B.Sc in IT in 2011. If I show B.Sc -IT as my qualification, will they consider my work experience from 2011 onwards? Will they consider my experience prior to B.Sc-IT also?

2. I have been working in USA for over 2 years. Do I still need to pass IELTS? If yes then how can I find what's the required score in each section?

3. Do I need to pass IELTS before getting my education assessed?

4. Should I send the transcripts of both 3-yr Diploma and B.Sc-IT to WES for education assessment?

5. Once WES sends the assessment report, how long is it valid?

Thanks in advance for your valuable suggestions/advise.

Regards,
MG
